Bitcoin is not here to replace fiat, bitcoin is here to help our in our lives.

My hope is that bitcoin will someday be the main currency for transactions.

That would be the best.

Bitcoin can never replace fiat, bitcoin will be used as currency but it will never replace fiat, as there are few things that only fiat can take care of, bitcoin will be popular but will not used as a major currency, people have more faith in fiat and they are used to it, so they will never support bitcoins.

bitcoin can replace fiat in the future . but this will need more stable price

I read a news that china is thinking about degitalize their currency, and that means it is possible

Yes, bitcoin can replace the fiat even it is invented for online use. For virtual/internet use, bitcoin may replace other processors like Paypal and will become the No.1 very soon. Fiat will loose it's own place slowly to bitcoin in upcoming years, this also for sure to happen.

I don't think we're anywhere close to Bitcoin surpassing PayPal in transaction volume, especially when you factor out all the gambling and Ponzi scamming Bitcoin is currently used for. If you take transactions that are most indicative of legitimate economic activity (merchant transactions, service payments, etc.) it's not even close.

That's true, the users of Paypal are more as compared to bitcoins, and I don't see that bitcoin can overtake Paypal very soon, as the market cap of Paypal is huge, where as bitcoin has very less users, in the same way the users of fiat are more and still many countries are not aware about bitcoins, so bitcoin replacing fiat in those countries is simply not possible.

Bitcoin has great success but to replace dollar need whole world to start to using it.
This is far more difficult as you can imagine!
Maybe in different world?

If 100 million use it, it could be the reserve currency in the world. It could be top 5 currencies after Dollar, Yuan, Euro.

Bitcoin will be used as a payment method for sure but I don't think that bitcoin can replace fiat, as the users of fiat are more as compared to bitcoins, and people don't have faith in digital currency, as they are not familiar to it.

I think it will just take times. It might take centuries to replace the fiat. The society will be cashless eventually.

Bitcoin is gaining popularity day by day is true, but it will require a strong reason to replace fiat, as the popularity of fiat is more as compared to bitcoins, and users of fiat are unlimited.

Well i think for me no bitcoin cannot be replace fiat because what is use of the bitcoin anonymity if the bitcoin replace a fiat.
How about the illegal activity out there, They would not allow to happen if they replace bitcoin..
We are using bitcoin to be anonymous because some people like me that has no real identity in the government because my mother and father is not married before so my problem is my lastname of my birth certification i can't make government identification or any government papers to use to apply in any real job.. Thats why im here using bitcoin and i collecting it as a job.... its easy to withdraw it in my country because i use my friends name and identification to have an account to withdraw bitcoin instantly...

So there's no reason to replace it to fiat..

imo bitcoin should not replace fiat just because the ease of transaction with fiat is much easier than with bitcooin. transactions take too long with bitcoin.

Bitcoin will not replace a fiat currency but It will replace US dollars place in international market due to its price growth and development. It will happen for sure once more adoption in business world. May it would more than 5 years at least from current situation. Price of the bitcoin also will be more than 1000$ for sure.

Yeah, it would cross $1k mark in near future and it would be much higher then that, but the fact is people will still continue to use fiat even if the value of bitcoin reaches to the moon, bitcoin will always be a secondary currency.

Price will fall after halving and we don't know whether it will go up again or not, but we will see a major dump after halving, but the future of fiat is safe and people will continue to use it.

Looking for a long term signature campaign. Pm me

Are you talking about the transaction time or a confirmation time? No doubt sometimes there is delay in confirmation but if you transfer your bitcoins to your bank account than the transactions are instant.

Bitcoin will not replace the FIAT money and will not dominant the world, but Bitcoin will be there all the time.
Money transfer as we know it already changed since the crypto comes to main stream more than a year ago, its still small part of the cycle, but its there.

Future is positive to grow the numbers, so you all bitcoiners - Dont sell !

So far the supply isn't even enough to cover the whole world. So if they want to replace it they have to think how they can do. Also I don't think fiat will totally replaced by Bitcoin .
