Well,it depends on your requirements. If you just have some bucks lying around and want to utilize them, buying a whole coin is a good option provided you get them at cheap rates. You could also trade them separately with varying market rates  and hope to get some profit. Its a valuable asset .

Don't force yourself to buy a whole bitcoin if you don't have enough cash. Buy 0.5 btc or any amount you can spare and buy more when you have more money. If you want an address look good with nothing but 1.0 btc in it, you can send 1 btc to a new address when you have more than 1 btc.

if the sub $450 is something that you can put aside and forget about for a year, go ahead.
but if its something ur dreaming of doubling in 6 months because you really really need $450+ within 6 months.. be cautious.

dont invest anything that will make you cry if it drops 10%, only invest something that you wont care about for atleast a year..

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.

I would stagger it out and buy .20 at 5 different levels but then again I always gamble for a cheaper price lol.

The only problem is like when I bought .20 at 410 I had it set to buy .2 at 390 but it went back up to 435 and
so I only got .2  Angry

I totally agree with him. You don't use up all of your money to do that. If you need urged something to cash you still have any money

Anytime you buy bitcoin could be the wrong time, Im hesitant to buy at the moment because the price is higher than opportunity i had earlier in the year but earlier in the year i was also hesitant because price was fluctuating and looked like it might have gone down. Had i know price was going to go up to what it did today then i would have put every penny in earlier in the year. Maybe i should even do that now,its hard to say.

That's nice, congratulations with your +1 Bitcoin. Smiley

Just make sure you send it to your offline wallet and make several backups of your wallet file, if you haven't already. Bitcoiners never have enough backups. Tongue

To put it in perspective, I just spent about that on buying Christmas presents that people didn't really need or want.

Congratulations, My advice would be to stick it on a paper wallet, lock it away and dont even bother looking at prices for a few years then by that time you could come back and who knows.

I also noticed you bought it in pounds, what exchange did you use? lbt?

Well next thing you will do is not holding ot for long. For now learn to read some daily charts to take advantage of what will the price will bring us. Rotate the coins.

congrats! Its the only way you get to be into bitcoins. you're lucky to have more cash yourself as I depend on giveaways when i started with bitcoins and soon after having few coins in my wallets, thats when i get to really like btc and started searching how i can use the amount in my wallet. Later find myself responding to threads here.
