I like the realtime numbers I hope it's closer to that then my speculation.  Would be nice to have a under 5 change.

It's a bit of a double edged sword.  Sure the higher btc price makes mining more profitable and able to support higher network difficulty, but it also attracts more miners and turns on more machines, thus increasing network difficulty and requiring a higher price to support it.  A bit of the ol' snake eating it's tail...

But generally I agree, much better to be sitting mid-400s than mid-200s like we did for so long.

I think a lot of the ones pushing it so much are commercial set-ups with ton's of machines.  I don't think it's a bunch of small hobby miners or home miners causing it.  So even at the higher price I'm not sure how much of a effect it has on attracting more miners. 

Also I am still wondering if any of it could be China market putting more in it with stocks doing pretty bad there - http://money.cnn.com/2016/01/06/investing/china-stocks-halted/ .  The halting of stocks twice in a week is huge on their market.

What I like is earning money in 220ish day's and holding... and it doubles.  Now that is a great feeling vs if I had it in my regular low risk checking account it would have made almost no interest. But there is a lot more risk.

I hope we see it go up even more.  I really think with China being a big part with their stock doing kinda crappy we might have more from there looking at holding BTC.

The way the Chinese government controls the finances in that country, we could just as easily see things over there do a 180.  Hopefully that wouldn't tank the btc price, there would be a lot of unhappy miners.
