HYIP = GAMBLING = PONZI So who be fisrt invest will be the winner  No because a ponzi need "more gamblers", a betting site could run by itself! Like the big company like ladbrokes, betfair, unibet.... They can run with also 1 "gambler"  It's same mate. HYIP too if not more SNIPE on trap invest this site will be scam :p exactly. if ur lucky u will withdraw today and tomorrow site is down... and u have profit Really the only reason a scam site would give you withdraw is to promote more deposits so maybe they will target certain people who can attract more people in. Maybe having a larger public profile gives you a greater edge. |

Imagine this scenario - first victim invest in some scammy HYIP which promise him 100% bonus after a day - next morning he wants to withdraw his deposit+bonus only to realize that this option is blocked and that is the end of Ponzi as he would certainly cry about that and not more eople will join 'the game'. It is illogical to block early investors from withdrawing money if you want to earn money as a Ponzi creator. |

Indeed. IMO, they consistently allow people to withdraw their money for a week or so to build up some trust and then if a "big investor" come in and deposit large sum of money, most likely that is the end of that ponzi. hyip is the same thing like gambling, even on this forum investor based games (hyips) are in gambling thread, also in hyips the same like in gambling you have a possibility to loose money but you also can make money
Most the time you will lose if you don't know when to stop "investing". |

Gambling like those here in Gambling type of games here in this section. You will lose money here but with the "fair" game.
HYIP promises you a big return. Gambling type of games wasn't like that. Strategy is a must in gambling type of games. HYIP you won't do anything so basically it's a shit.

Calm down all you gambling enthusiastic and fan-boys. maybe my topic title is misleading  sorry for that. but my point here isn't about who is shit or not... gambling is different. it is a game. it is luck and skill i agree. what i am trying to say is.. these HYIP websites now a days are making people gamble their investment. Consider the situation and compare okay. xyz1 = hyip website. opened with lot of fake promises and stuff.. even though people know most of them are ponzi.. why do they still invest. ? okay few people invested. X invested for 2 day and Y invested for 4 days.. the website goes down on 3rd day. X won and Y didn't. Because X decided to play for 2 days and not 4. and to the person who just comments saying another user who has no knowledge about either... well people with ur attitude i hate the most. this is just s place to discuss and learn.. show ur smartness where it matters ty |

Nope both of them are not the same thing although they have been put in same section but both of them is completely different. In HYIP you dont have this possibility to lose but when you start it you already lose that. There is no way they give you free money? What kind of work that give you free money? There are no such generous people in this world |

I had this though going on my mind about all the hyip websites.
All the topics being posted in gambling section and investment related ones made me reach a conclusion.
It is quite obvious but lets take it as a game itself.
Imagine a gambling system ( IMO probably fair my ... ) let you win win win and then when u go big and greedy its over in a blink of an eye.
Who could say all these complex gambling games or system coming up isn't rigged by the coders.
so back to the point,
many of the hyip website come online for a month or so, with good investment of their own to fool people for some time and when they have earn more than invested they jsut disappear.
So why dont we do it like gambling. Just have to know when to stop. read the patterns. since all these website now a days show TXID for legitimacy. i think we could maybe withdraw on the right time.
do not invest more that you are willing to lose. same concept of gambling.
I really can't see it as the same thing. On a HYIP you are likely to be scamed. They don't even invest your money. They just take it, pay to some users so it seems legit and then run off with all the other users money. You can see it as a risk, and think that maybe you will get your money on time etc. But the problem here is that by doing so you are still supporting those sites, and allowing them to just keep scaming people and I can't do that. Gambling sites are normally legit, and the gambling concept at least is legit, so at least you know you are taking your chances on a legit system, and you are not helping people that take a living in scamming others. |

Investing on hyips, i always follow the golden rule, always get your seed money out and play with the profits. Also Try to promote your referral to earn few commissions. but keep your family members out of hyips, many friendships have been destroy bcoz of hyips invesments.

That's the point....ok we can discuss if HYIP is scam or not (is it ) but is also up to you to decide if enter or not.... If i see an HYIP relatively young, i have no reason to think that they close and run only with my money and some others, so i have good chance to be repayed, but if see a HYIP that run from a month or more....man....they are ready to run with money of all investors! So if you take an HYIP site like gambling, you should choice the right site, or is a bet lost! Gambling is totally different, you play vs the lucky and the probability.... But if i have to schoose to wait 2 days to see my stake back X2 with HYIP and gamble my stake all in 50%, i prefer the second! |

I think he has a point although you can argue that HYIP sites are full blown dishonest compared to Casinos. Casinos tell you that you can win money and that's actually truth in theory. HYIP promises ridiculous percentages and then run with your money.
Either way, I've never put any money into these sites and I don't recommend them of course but I've used giveaways money to "invest" and had good luck I must say. The key is not to get too greedy. They don't last more than one week.

I think HYIP is worse then gambling because in gambling you at least have a chance to win. HYIP are generally usually scams and you should stay away from.

I quite don't agree with it.hypi's have a history of making people lose regardless of its existence from day 1 to day 100.Gambling has made people rich in seconds also broke at the same time.But I feel gambling is more of a known approach so what we can expect on the brighter side as well.hyip's are structured in such a way that it will collapse in the long run.

Actually it could be considered as gambling because they tend to pay significant sums while they are in their initial stage and they're searching for more users. If you get aboard early enough, that is. I believe op was referring to this fact when he compared it with gambling. Judging from the number of hyip's under investor based games, there's no lack of people trying it out, but sadly large portion is only gonna get burned. |

For me not the same because you can win and gain profit with gambling than HYIp's Because HYIP's are scam and there is no profit you can get.. So its better to invest on gambling than investing in any HYIP pozi's |
