Do you still believe in bitcoin

Yeah, sort of at first...

And how do you feel about it now?

I am not blazing with satisfaction or anything, but the truth is... it all ended when bitcoin was shared with everyone. The minute you share and synchronize all information you loose your uniqueness and become absorbed into the unconscious maliciousness of a third party who has no motive... or perhaps into the will of someone who does have one.

These are words based on what a community member has gained from hard earned experience...

As one who was born and grew up in the era of computers and technology one would think I would welcome and rejoice in the idea of the creation and integration of anonymous digital trade, but I will tell you that it was a simple piece of mail that was stumbled across on the net that began to cause me to question. What I had found was a blackmail document, that had probably been sent to a wealthy individual, corporation, or organisation. It was armed with a thesis that was a comparative study on the inadequacies of physical storage of value versues the effectivness of trade through digital means. What started as a neutral had at that point, thanks to third parties, begun to take sides. I being young and naive read this mail only seeing the neutral and positive, choosing to ignore the negative.

Yes, I was kidding myself, by thinking that it was my personal mission to share and circulate that data and thesis to the rest of the world which it had not yet been exposed.

Failing spectacularly. As blackmail, scams, drug dealing, along with other malicous acts became more routine and accepted with in the community, the pure innocent mediator grew dejected at the base nature of the social system and he turned mute.

It was most likely because of all that, Satoshi became a vanishing mediator. Just like an author whos existance is emphasized by the fact that he rarely puts out any new works for publication. In other words, by disappearing it acts a regulating medium for the dynamism of the social system. Per sociological theory it ultimately vanishes leaving no trace of it's presence inside or outside the system.

Even though I was familiar with the words, I wasnt able to believe it untill I saw it with my own eyes. And yet, third parties carried on. Who knew that copies could still be produced despite the absence of the original? If you had to give a name to this phenomenon, what would you label it?

It would be a stand alone complex.

From the start the very nature of our current social system has contained the mechanisms to trigger such an amazing occurrence. Personally however, I feel this marks the beginning of a new era of despair. What are your opinions?
