Well for all those who said bitcoin is dead.... its gone up 10% today

We are humans so everyone has the sense to predict something. This time his prediction has gone wrong.

Maybe that was Hearn's intention.

- Sell at 430 or whatever it was
- Price falls to 370
- Buy loads of coins with profit
- Price goes back up
- Happy Hearn?

So funny that people thinks that bitcoin is dead.
After all this can be the year for bitcoin everyone is specting a good increase after the halving.
For sure bitcoin won't dead I think it will just take a long time before it goes. we will see what will happen.

I'm pretty sure this post was a joke like many others because the whole ''bitcoin is dead'' is a meme now, a joke, everyone says it every time there is a dump. We are experiencing a big pump right now and it seems like it's going to be stable at 400-420~ the next few days.

Yeah and I feel pity on the people who feels that bitcoin is dead, maybe they are new to bitcoins or they don't trust bitcoins or else they are listening to others they are not capable of taking their own decisions or come to a conclusion, bitcoin is dead only in the minds of negative people who are still strangers to bitcoins.

But I think it is not only those people who are new or unaware to bitcoin who say that bitcoin is dead. But also those who want to buy bitcoins at cheap rate. They make others fool by saying that in near future bitcoin will be nothing for them, and persuade them to sell it on cheap.

I think its just a nature of bitcoin every year the price will dump or jump. So i think bitcoin are not dead and it will rise again.
Im not sure when it happen but just stay holding or buy cheap bitcoins for now and hold it until cryptsy issue ends and also dont forget the halving ends...

I suppose Bitcoin would only be dead if there where no nodes running anywhere in the world. Furthermore even if there are still copies of the blockchain out there maybe it should just be considered dormant instead. Either way we are very far away from that point. Bitcoin is alive, it is thriving and growing exponentially even. Life is good and Bitcoin gives us hope for the future. Smiley

Just this. Bitcoin keeps moving around, so it is not likely dead by any means. It does not seem it is used less than two months ago either. Not dead.

This word, this dead word.  It needs redefining.  If bitcoin is dead while at almost $400, then it can be resurrected and eat the planet whole.

But really, if there are still people willing to lose their shirts on dice sites and people who need to buy deviant pornography and weapons and drug addicts who need drugs, there'll be bitcoin.  It serves all of these things nicely.
Price is still good very good , but people still talking about demise?
I didn't hear news about flaw in code or virus in blockchain or something?
This is  circus!
You need to understand that there is much more than price when you think about bitcoin. Current price might not be crazy low but it is still overhyped compared to state bitcoin is in right now.
It is very shortsighted approach to think that price will go up without community first take care of bitcoin's problems.

Yes the most widely used cryptocurrency with the most hash power of any of them is dead. even if bitcoin dropped 200 dollars it would still be the strongest crypto out there. Its going to take a whole lot more than this to take down the behemoth .

blockchain.info has that kind of data as well as graphs, check it out by poking around the site.

Right, BTC is still going just fine.  I will feel more comfortable with BTC once the Core developers (and the Classic developers) put aside their squabble and get BTC back on track re the blocksize debate.  When the developers get that problems straightened out, my guess is that BTC takes off.  *My guess*

How to declare that something is a dead?
First if there is no activity.
It is useless or has no purpose..
Price is almost ridiculous and nobody can sell it at the moment.
There is no demand and no support !
Only what can you see is anger and despair..
If you have those symptoms it is clear BTC isn't for you, sell all at once and buy a pizza.
