Mine at Jonny's Pool

Hello jonnybravo0311 it seems to me that it's orderly obscured, I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering, there can be problems with anything or errors, too long this block?
Hi Gamora, There's nothing wrong. Because the pool has such a low hash rate, and the network difficulty is so high, it takes a very long time to find blocks. The only way to offset the time is to increase the hash rate. Ah, see, I didn't know that the BTC came from you! I thought there was an adjustment that XX% of the reward would go to the finder and the rest to the others who contributed shares. I agree, from your pocket seems unfair to ask for a 2 or 3 BTC bonus.
Well, since you asked, "Why not point your 14TH here anyway?" - my response would be (and this could be way off base, I am new and don't really understand how "shares" and such are rewarded when it comes to pools), I hesitate since the pool hasn't found a block in quite some time. (almost 10 months) So if I understand correctly, if I started mining with say 14TH today and a block isn't found for another 10 months then I won't get paid until that block is found. Right?
I wish I understood pool payout better.
Some pools do in fact take a percentage of the shares from the rest of the miners in order to give a bonus to the person who found the block. I don't feel that's fair to the rest of the miners. Any and all promotions that I run are solely funded from my own wallet. To date, I've give well over 10 BTC to miners on my pool. Regarding pool payouts, you are correct. Until a block is found, nobody gets paid. Because the hash rate is so low, that could be a year or two. It could also be tomorrow. Statistically, that's unlikely, but it is not impossible. Finding a share with a good enough difficulty is a matter of luck. The more shares you find (i.e. the more hash rate you have), the better the chance of finding one that solves the block. There are no guarantees - there are only statistical likelihoods.

So let me ask this way. Again, I appreciate your patience in dealing with my newbie questions. Let's say the pool has a hash of 100TH. Let's also say you find a block tomorrow, to reset the clock so to speak. If I'm pointing 10TH to the pool for the next 6 months and a block is found. Does that mean I get 1/10th of the reward?

Does that mean I get 1/10th of the reward? no jonny is using 5n payout system and that means the average of 5 blocks. not one. this was not much of a problem when we had more hash and hit blocks more regularly. hitting a block now does not set to zero which means you are at a disadvantage since you would be a johny come lately. this would take me quite a while to explain . but say 100 shares should hit a block and luck was exactly even 5n means the pool looks back 5 x 100 = 500 shares so in your case you have 0 for the last 5n you come in now and you do 10 of 100 shares the 0 for 500 in your case drops to 0 for 400 and your 10 for 100 comes in so you are 10 for 500 not 10 for 100 5n is great if the pool has a lot of hash. my little pools are: bravo that is this one ck pool mmpool I have been around a long time I have more then 3btc sunk into the 3 pools above and I can't avoid to rent and no longer mine at them much this is not the pool owners fault basically coins are so costly I can not risk mining in allow hash pool and wait a year to collect.

jonnybravo0311 - Kind time, can you arrange a vote, in terms of merging all in one and one day to still split the unit? I think it would be amusing and it is possible to hit another green block next

philipma1957 - I'm so interested in what you think about it, I know that you also like this pool I think you are asking to end the 5n payout system. And go block by block rather then 5n which is a 5 block avg so to speak (well an average of 5x current diff to be more exact) it would not be fair to the older people that were mining here based on 5n. in my case the current block stand alone I would be 28,995.794,768 /660,442,186,892 x 12.5 = 0.54 coins as to my 5n status I am too lazy to figure it out. I suppose I may be better off based on this block alone I don't really know

today I looked in the pool,I understand that the difficulty went down? indeed, the diff adjust herself every 2016 block. It means we lost some hashrate (finding block slower) then the past Diff. Some hashrate has move to BCH. (Bitcoin coin cash network) Btw i use "herself" since in french everything is a He or She and difficulty is a She.

Hi, jonnybravo0311 can you send mail to all participants about the returns and launching of your fearsome drilling machines Hi Lexs163, Take a look at the very first post of this thread to get all the information you will need to connect to the pool. It also contains all payout and fee information. My fearsome drilling machines? Unfortunately they've been quiet as of late

Hello. New to this forum and to Bitcoin mining.
Like the concept and layout of this pool. I was mining at Kano, but it would take me six months for a minimum payout with my tiny hashing power. Using two sidehack 2-pac sticks atmo, so measuring less than 1% of total pool hashpower.
Not a gambler by nature but figured with my little toy mining rig I may as well play the lotto.
Read through all the forum posts but the blockchain math and such really makes my head hurt.
I think I may stay here a while, and who knows, I may be expanding my little mining rig a bit some day.
I think I am starting to grasp how the pool works and if you guys can use a steady 22 Gh/s I will keep pointing it this way.

Welcome aboard BigIron. Who knows... that 22GH might hit the big one. If it does, you will get a 1BTC bonus.
That goes for everyone by the way. I’m still offering the bonus to whoever finds the block.

Here's to hoping your lucky S7 finds another block!
My Avalons are still hashing away here as well. One was lucky last year, but since then...
That 1BTC block finder bonus is still up for grabs... and with BTC around $6000, that's a pretty nice chunk of change. Holidays are coming up. Who would like to have an extra $6000 to spend?

So I point some hash here from nicehash and I get a big fuck you. Not blaming your pool blaming nice hash.
I have rented from nice hash and the last few months when I rent from them and point to you it bombs. tiered of it plus nicehash charges me 0.0001 and does not refund it when it bombs.
It just picked up again maybe it will stick and no it bombed again.
