Is it a sin to gamble?

Why would it be a sin, I consider gambling as fun and enjoying and its not a sin at all, maybe if its forbidden by your religion its a sin but other than that its not.

Yes its up to us as individuals to make up out minds by ourselves. There many things that can be dangerous but we choose to let that happen to us.

Yes, gambling is a sin. But better don't think and talk about sin on gambling, gambling is for fun and no need care about the sin, but if you scare about sin and hell, better you not gambling.

So why is it a sin if you don't mind me asking? To me it seems like playing a game and then automatically being marked to be sent to hell is a little extreme, don't you think?

in islamic point of view it is a sin. islam forbid gambling. and i think every state and laws also forbid gambling. may be it is legal in some countries but in most of the countries it is illegal.

Gambling is a sin. Or maybe not. Never heard something exactly. But I think in the way of addiction it may be a sin. You know all this people who bet their cars and houses and stay their families without a roof. But if you play just for fun and you are sure it's not an addiction I think it's ok.

Gambling is consider as Sin in few religions and few of them allow it. So it depends which religion you follow. If you see it above the religion, it can be fun and enjoyable for those who has a lot of money and afford to lose. On the other hand, a person with less amount of money and if he intends to gamble and if he loses then gambling is miserable for him.

No it's not. People who think so , think that because of religious beliefs that doesn't make it fact but to them it is a fact. But we are not discussing if religion is right or wrong or true or false we are discussing if gambling is a sin. So to some it is. It is dangerous to gamble i'm sure everyone can agree on that. True, every religion which we own cherished beliefs have several procedures to respond to some of the activities there are in the world. Yes, this thread is going something wrong people are discussing not related topic here. The main question is it a sin to gamble or not but here some religion matters are discussing. Yes, some religion also not accept this game but discuss an exact topic. Gambling is the risky play here win, and loss is not equal many times we see the loss so it is a sin.

Well how would it be a sin to gamble? There is no way that you can tell us how to spend our money other than 10% tithe and 80% to family

There is no sin to gamble when it's just enjoying your money the way that you want to enjoy it, i really dont see the issue with that mainly because it isnt one. The easiest way to be saying it's a sin is if you lose and you get too upset and do irrational things.

not really easy to get money from gambling, even gambling has a lot of problems, a lot of people who are addicted and lose a lot of money because of gambling, and it is the biggest problem of gambling.

Well to me it's not actually a sin on its own. But perhaps it is a very strong influence on doing bad things. Tempting you to do even more bad and inhibit that mindset.

This Gambling is made for our entertainment, so I too agree it's a sin. In this gambling not only a few people all most 90 percent gamblers lost their money here the only number of individuals can make money in gambling. So let's treat this is a fun game, not a money making machine it's totally wrong.

This has nothing to do with betting in small or large amount. but it's about gambling that is considered a sin, and this is just a religious issue.
