I' not sure but I'm hoping for it too. My guess is aroundaybe $500 - $600 stable in it. But hen maybe it rises up more. Eerythi can haplen an there are still many things to be considered, also the halvin is just near so maybe there will be a big jump. I'm not sre if it will be stable tho.

There's no precedent of prices rises after halving.

It all points to that. After surviving about 90 times, Bitcoin already accomplished the financial "Paris - Dakar" goal. The halving is coming and the price will surely rise. Let's hope it passes the $800 mark Smiley

Yes. If core can weather the attacks, I think the price could reach $800. But if Classic gets traction, you should short the farm.

i think itll definitely hit atleast 800 this year, mainly cuz of the halfing thats taking place. i suspect its gonna cause an uproar in the demand.

the halfing should also decrease the supply of bitcoins entering the economy, and tht all adds up to a higher price.

I read a previous article about the sustainability of miners. The estimate price to allow the miners to survive is about USD$300 for 25BTC reward.

So when the reward half, the price should be at least $600+- for the miners to survive.

800 USD bitcoin's are definitely possible in 2016, it's not a really unlikely scenario with the halving happening in summer 2016.

We'll just have to wait & see what happens, there is a lot of shit over block sizes going on at the moment.

Price target of $800 is definitely within the range, especially in the current economy environment.

However, the upcoming hard fork may cause some serious ups and downs so sit tight and enjoy the rainbow ride.

I agree with this sentiment as well. If bitcoin rises to $800 anytime soon, I believe FOMO will easily push it to $1,000 or more. This based upon factors such as the upcoming block halving, people will be thinking of repeat of 2013, plus there is much more publicity and investment in bitcoin and surround tech that there was in 2013.

Without solving the problem with blocksize and clearing the way of resolving other technical issues plaguing bitcoin now, I seriously doubt that we will price higher than $500.
Not to mention approaching halving will either be the same as last one (bitcoin price drop after) or something new and good for the price of BTC.

It's definitely possible, now more than ever since we are coming from a very dark week with the most amount of negative comments I can remember. However even if we can reach it, I don't think it will be sustainable, we should close the year around $500-600 in my opinion.

Right now it is in a pretty bad place. Maybe after halving we will see the price rise but not by that much.
