Having dealt numerous times with Phillipma1957 on and off the forum , I would not consider him a sell out or being paid by anyone for what he does.
If he does get paid directly, it is also not our business. He backs his info with facts in any thread he has. He is very helpful on pretty much anything I have ever asked him about in the past.

He is one of the very few people we should NOT be worried about being a sell-out on this SCAM-ridden and BS-filled forum...

On that note, I started on KANO.IS early last year and have been stuck on it (in a good way).
Always earning more than any other pool, even after some less than prosperous days of red blocks.

I only wish KANO would have an alt-coin pool.   Wink

I wrote the thread  because I believe what I wrote.

Sure does help when the luck rate is  over 120%  since I wrote the thread.

I have zero Chinese hash in any form.  My gear is at

 kano.is
solo ck pool
jonnybravo
compac stick club
mmpool
I find it interesting how much philip has done for the community and has kept doing awesome things. Hosting group buys, offering free hash for people that got screwed (and getting a block), and helping people in general. Keep being awesome phil.

If I ever go back to mining, I will probably choose kano over slush. I never knew there was this much variance.

and giving away ⅔ of the block mentioned plus  when coins in it matured  they were at 480usd (IIRC) during the fall run up.

That was  a pretty cool thing to happen.

I look forward to your posts Phil.  You're a great asset to the community!

 I don't say I told you so.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1338693.0

we have gone from 104.33% lifetime to 1.07.09%  since I wrote this thread!!
...

we did the 104 to 107 percent increase very fast

so 462 we were 104

now 538  we are 107

this 3% jump was in  76 blocks

this is due to over 125% luck rate since I started this thread!

Last 50 Blocks   13.0days   101.0%   79.99%   79.49%   0.0648   125.81%
Last 100 Blocks   32.1days   101.1%   80.20%   79.87%   0.0165   125.21%

The 2 figures above are amazing.

But this one below is unreal:

Last 250 Blocks   29.0wks   101.0%   85.58%   87.86%   0.0238   113.81%

that is more then 6 months of 'good' luck.

note this post is condensed from here :

I am very glad I moved my modest amount of hash back to Kano's pool about 40 days ago, after mining elsewhere for the last 8 months.  I only wish I moved back sooner now after seeing these results.

I just moved my 10THs to kano. Am I right in thinking I wont see and results for 5 days?
I got 0.02235250 on the first day then nothing else. Been here for 3 days and nearly went back to antpool until I found this thread.

Thanx

What website should I use to upload pics for use here?

Thanx

If you've been mining at my pool for 3 days, you've already received 11 payouts, unless you're mining dust.

Have I done something wrong?

That's not 3 days of mining.
And if you are asking question about kano.is they belong in the kano.is thread.

I quoted all of above and I deleted original posts this is a topic for kano pool thread

The thing that convinced me to switch was the simple facts and how the info was laid out by Phillipma1957 that made it easy to read and understand. i think finding a good pool is the key to a miners and bitcoins future in general. if the pools that keep mining empty blocks are allowed to continue bitcoin will end up taking a step backward.

I found out that I have an account on Kano that I never used, probably when I was testing pools, I gave this pool a second look and right now I just finished connecting miner.
Best of luck to everyone.

Well the blocks table itself has the info required to do a spreadsheet and calculate it.

You actually just need each block's total diff and the network difficulty at the time it was found.
A block's total diff is the diff shown + any stale/rejected/invalid/orphan blocks immediately before it.
(the colour matches that total also)

Or you can use the % and sum them up, since that's to 3 decimal places so 'somewhat' accurate also.

In the code, the numbers are a one run through the data.
Having the the 100,200,etc for every block would of course mean recalculating the 100,200,etc for each block so would take max(~100,~200,~X) times longer.
