Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I created my first website when I was 14 years old, in 2005 I think.

BTW I think I still have the source files of that website somewhere in a HDD

Never had a website, but since my early teens I always wanted to do some kind of privacy hosting service, and then one day I discovered "Rapidshare" was a thing.

oh god, it was an evangelion fan site made from hacked together bits of stolen html from other sites, it was on aol's hosting and it was quite horrid (no flashing text or animated backgrounds at least... but sadly it did have a mouse follower >.>) ... i would have been... 13-14 ish, I can't remember exactly

first 'OC' site was a bunch of crude animated gifs I made out of sprites ripped from various games, I actually liked that site and strangely it was visited and commented on a fair bit, it was about a year after the first mess

first 'good' site was a flash game site dedicated to an online comic site tsunami channel, a megaton of nested tables making a 3d effect, a browser mud with 3K+ players and a few flash games (mostly 'flash tutorial' related games with art from the comic and little bits i came up with alone)

Since then I've found 'the holy grail' css layout and I use that for everything - never touched html5 (or php5 for that matter) - kind of behind the times

I'd say around 1996. I had a tripod hosted site pertaining to Atari 2600 games. I collected all that shit abd wrote about it posted pictures with an espon camera that was total trash. but at the time I felt like king shit.

My parents used to freak because this ofcourse was way before social networking was any kind of meme. I had a guest book and people always wanted to get ahold of me for trades etc.

The irony was I turned out to be one of the first ROM archives online for quite sometime. never got pounced by Tripod for it.

I'd really love to find it again on archive. I did once and spent hours in critical judgement of my newb codeing skillz of the time

It was the year 1998 and it featured my name in futuristic blue letters and a photoshop lens flare effect.

My first page was Mr. Frump's Awesome Web Page of Awesomeness, circa 2000, I WISH I had a copy of that one.  Of course, created using the sloppy GUI, it was my first web site.  It was awesome.  I still think it was created in 97, but 2000 at the latest.  But it's gone now.

It's gone but I still have the same set of bookmarks since the '90's and the bookmark still appears as if I went to it yesterday:

And now it will be further encapsulated in time via this post.

My oldest still active website is something I slapped together in about 2 seconds on Bravenet, it's funny because I forgot that I had made it and it's...  somewhat awesome, a lot more work was put into the geocities site... You have just wasted your time.

Wow, all of you seem like an intelligent bunch haha

Makes me feel pretty thick compared to the sites ive made, e.g saggyballs.com - it produced $800 in advertising revenue and had a picture of a hot chick next to a set of massive bull nuts.
