Lisk L2 Staking is Live
Lisk has officially launched its L2 Staking feature, providing new opportunities for community members to earn rewards and participate in network governance. Here's what stakers can expect:
Staking Rewards: The total staking rewards pool is 8,000,000 LSK annually, distributed daily based on the amount locked and the locking duration. The weight for a locked amount is calculated as lockedAmount * (remainingLockingDurationInDays + 150).
Governance Participation: Stakers gain voting power proportional to their staked amount. Enhanced voting power is available by pausing the locking period countdown.
Flexibility: Users can lock tokens for 2 weeks to 2 years, with options to pause, extend, or increase the locking amount. Early unlocking incurs penalties, which are redirected to the staking rewards pool.
Security and Community: Staking helps secure the Lisk network and allows users to influence key decisions through on-chain governance.
