Well I for one know that I will either donate a large chunk of my delegate earnings for DAPP development of others or maybe fund a few DAPPs of my own (I have been thinking about this more and more since I don't like to rely on others for development ).

I don't think though that pools are a good idea as that could centralize the system too much...

The real reality check should be that 150k Lisk per delegate per year is way too much...Also, I don't expect this list to be representative for the main net. Most people will (rightfully with these insane rewards) vote for profit sharing delgates.

I have often stated my preference for Lisk to be a zero inflation coin like Crypi.  However, if there is money on the table, I want my share.

I understand, and that is why im in favor of pool delegates and profit sharing delegates.

Imo, the rates should be looked at again. Especially with the high valuation in the ico and the potential huge premium over ico price in the coming months, the 5 Lisk is way too much.

At ico price it already means 15k USD per year per delegate, if it increases to 1 USD that's 150,000 USD per delegate the first year. Insane.

And how do I as a voter know that delegates are actually going to use the funds how they claim? And what if they get more funds than they need? Nice holidays? Not saying that you will but people are greedy. Id rather get my own share and decide where that goes.

True, this (and really all figures, and a bunch of other stuff) were set expecting a much lower initial market cap.
So from this standpoint block rewards could and should be adjusted along with fees.
But on the other side, it would be a serious one sided modification of ICO terms. People invested (pardon, donated) money expecting 15% inflation in the first year. Changing this is more than a little dicey. I don't think they could or should do that.

Time for a reality check, so here it is.  

At launch there will be 101 Active Delegates selected to forge Lisk on the mainnet.

These Active Delegates will be rewarded with 5 Lisk every 17 minutes in Year One, for 150K Lisk.  

All other Standby Delegates get zero Lisk for running a Standby Node.

As I write this there are 85 people forging as Active Delegates in the testnet, as seen in the "Top 101" tab.

These are the only 85 people in the world who have proven they can run a Lisk node.  

Who do you think is going to be picked to be Active Delegates on the mainnet and make 150K Lisk in Year One?

There are 16 "sock puppet" nodes being run as second nodes by some of these 85 people.  These sock puppet nodes are in deep red.

In the next few days before launch, these sock puppets are going to be replaced by 16 Standby Delegates who will be promoted to testnet Active Delegate.

With their experience, these 16 new Active Delegates are probably going to make 150K Lisk in Year One on the mainnet.

Check out the "Standby Delegates" tab in the spreadsheet.  As I write this, there are over 600+ Lisk testnet Standby Delegates.

If you REALLY want to "stand out" be picked as one of the top 16 from this pool of 600+, you need to do the following:

2. Do it.
3. Find (or add) your name in the Standby Delegate tab of the above spreadsheet.

I know it won't happen--and I'm not really too bothered by it--but since launch is delayed, I wish the devs would help the community set up some way to trade stakes. It's not as impossible, as it's made out to be, there's always a way to trade something if there are people willing to buy.

All we would need is someone trusted, not even necessarily a dev, who would keep a spreadsheet of buyers and sellers. Buyers and sellers would do an escrow deal as well as tell whoever is in charge of the spreadsheet. The seller would give the buyer their passphrases and whatnot and both would also confirm that they are about to do a trade with the person in charge of the spreadsheet. The seller would tell this person their email that they used to setup their lisk ICO account. Anyone who claims to have lost their private keys would need to talk to the person in charge of such a spreedsheet. If they sold their stake, they can't get new passphrases.

Of course this person in charge would need to be trusted, but there's definitely a few trust-able members on these forums who might do this if we gave them some btc/lisk.

Just a thought..

All this is very simple to stop this exchanges creating this. It would have been good that LISK  created their own tokens for LISK so they would have swapped it in the exchange the way yobit is doing. So yobit would have not been able to do so as LISK would have done it first. Simple, that would have given the chance to buy legitimate tokens from LISK and not yobit.

the fact is this coin is currently in control of yobit not the LISK team ... if LISK never launches yobit never has to deliver the actual coins! ..see how that works ?

You sure about this?  If Lisk doesn't launch, they will have to refund the btc of all those overpriced lisk that they sold.  It would shut them down.
