Definition of Market Manipulation: (source: Wikipedia)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_manipulation

Market manipulation is a deliberate attempt to interfere with the free and fair operation of the market and create artificial, false or misleading appearances with respect to the price of, or market for, a security, commodity or currency. Market manipulation is prohibited in most countries, in particular, it is prohibited in the United States under Section 9(a)(2).

To me, what has this guy been doing with Lisk on Poloniex since a few days is market (price) manipulation.
And you guys, what do you think?

Polo is US based, so maybe would freeze his account if asked. It's not my philosophy - he should be able to do what he wants with his holdings and let the market decide - but I don't write the laws.

Who is that guy anyway? Is that a 1000 btc ico investor?

He is pimping now I do wonder if he has pimpingsincepimpings pimping but he is for sure pimping. That would make sense he is a 1000btc investor but who knows? If it is it seems he knows something most don't and he held through the first pump and the second and this recent rise to 60k. He is long in the game.

Yes, he is the 1000 BTC investor, and yes, he is pimping
https://lisktools.io/accountInformation.php?address=6458009167317801978L

Interesting, that I have not yet seen him set the wall at a price which is lower than the highest bid

He is no.1 lisk whale right? It is amazing that he didn't dump his 1000 btc investment when the price was over 0.001 btc, and now wants to sell, maybe just a scary to buyers.

i wish i had a lot of money to take at least 100 BTC out of his wall, it would feel great im sure.

im still not sure what this guy is trying to do but i guess he could short Lisk on Bitmex with 3.3 leverage and then start killing the price on Poloniex which would eventualy also effect the price on Bitmex and getting him into profit.

anyway his action looks pretty dumb, he would have earned more without this bullshit because Lisk would be steady above 50k satoshies, and now people are concerned and the price is hardly moving. not to mention the risk he's taking by doing this.
Max and Oliver could setup a 8 million Lisk wall on 50k satoshies, that would be cool Smiley

Nobody will direct sell on the buy wall, and now is not 1000 btc buy wall for selling. And the price will be catastrophic if he dumps once for 2k btc. Sane traders put small sell order for high price selling.

That is good and I hope that really will happen. But the problem is that whale. What if LSK has risen again above 50k satoshis and then the whale will reappear again and he again make that sell wall? It will make LSK tumble again and here we are again back at the beginning.

I speculate that this will be flat for the time being until we are assured that the whale has gone away.

The only interest of someone to keep a coin down is to accumulate more!
Wink
Good time to accumulate  more and more. It will be best profit coin in 2017 year)

I'm trying to get some below ICO price. Not sure if that'll ever happen though...

Its quite obvious now that Lisk will never come near ICO prices. I even doubt it will go lower than 35k .
As mike already said Lisk has shown real strenght by holding steady prices with whale sell wall pressure. Imo this is
mostly because of its solid community.
I think this prices are real good for accumulation !
Go Lisk !!!

I think everyone is so keen to say that they spotted a Whale that they rule out the possibility it could be Polo trying to hurt Lisk. This apparent whale never puts his wall below the highest bid. Seems strange.

possible, but why would Polo want to hurt Lisk, and also risk prosecution for market manipulation in their US jurisdiction.

Why would Polo want to hurt a currency that is making them good profits ? - LSK has a relatively steady and high volume since launch.

Send me a PM of when and where you will put the wall in advance, and then I will believe it's actually you. You could also post it here, but then, the actual whale might decide to match what you post and make you the patsy.

Lisk is dying after that dumb whale showing off his coins, almost 10millions LSK.
I already unloaded most of my LSK and still can't decided what to do next. There is no reason to join again when you know a rich dumb moron is on your side and don't know what he's doing.
Lisk volume will died out so is Lisk itself, no one know what to do at this point until small fishes biting that dumb whale off, chance is pretty slim.

Enough of the name calling and grow up people. Selling your lisk because someone has 5-10% of the supply lol you do realize that isn't much in the scheme of things and many other coins have much bigger whales. He is just a small fish in the scheme of things calm down ladies.

I think people are overreacting to the whole whale thing. Despite different schemes to try to engineer a different distribution, any healthy currency is going to eventually settle into a Pareto Distribution, the 80-20 rule, where 20% of the holders will own 80% of the currency.

People who are overreacting are same one who was spreading FUD before whale thing, they need more lisk, and using this situation to work for them.
