Lisk v0.3.4 — Release Announcement

The latest Lisk client v0.3.4 has been released, and is now available for download via our downloads server. This version is a mandatory update, and is being released due to a critical transaction signature malleability issue found in the ed25519 implementation previously used by Lisk. Please note, in order to protect the network, all active delegates were patched prior to this release.

The implementation previously used: https://github.com/dazoe/ed25519, is based upon the default Ref10 specification, which does not check S<l when verifying signatures. This meant older transactions could be resent using a modified signature, S′=S+l. With this release v0.3.4, we have now switched our implementation to libsodium, which adds the necessary signature check. All node operators are therefore encouraged to update immediately.

An explanation of the issue is given here: http://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/14712/non-standard-signature-security-definition-conforming-ed25519-malleability/14719#14719

We will see because the 0.4.0 is the next leve build from what I understand so it needs to be thoroughly tested before it is put on the main network. But it is also supposed to bring some big improvements as well Smiley

I believe lisk will be the greatest crypto of 2017, and peak/average between  .005-.01 BTC.
I have not touched my coins and holding. All these bumps with monero, etc, Lisk will have its turn.

i don't believe so, the hype is long gone, there will be no more 0.01 or whatever the bagholder are dreaming for lol, the best opportunity was at the beginning to dump this, now it's all about bagholding, you see all ico remain at the initial price offering, it's always like that after the first wave of hype

I think so, too. I think the team's inability to keep up and produce anything substantial has led to this, they didn't learn from their past mistakes with crypti and now they're just repeating them.
I mean the project has been in the works for like what 2 years? And you still have no stable sdk and dapps/bapps/whatever. They made a good payday though, I tip my had to them.
See you in crypti 3.0/

No it's not, it's a fork of crypti, you would expect things would be working by now.

To imagine what our devs have done the past months, take a look at this (incomplete) list of changes. Related to the code base, Lisk is far far away from Crypti already and gets better from week to week. Just take a look at all issues on github, that are closed already (172 at this moment). Our devs are doing an amazing job with strong community support (finding bugs, open issues on github, test new versions, making suggestions,...)!
