Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I don't store my bitcoins on my computer because it may crash anytime. thus, I use online wallet called blockchain.info, and the other one is called Xapo. these two are my favorite online bitcoin wallets. Cold storage is great too when you have a chance invest in one for maximum security.

You mean just hold bitcoin? like for years? if yes, then nope... i dont.
I do use a wallet to store my bitcoins but they are constantly moving. investment, payments and other stuffs.

I think its an easy way to get Bitcoin on a mining website (only a reputable one).
Then I keep most of it in paper wallets and some online wallets (where only 2 of them have been posted publicly and others are kept as confidential due to security purposes).

I certainly try not to keep a lot on exchanges because you know anything can happen there... I try to keep them local, and some on paper wallet for long term. For the coins I want to trade with often, I put them on local wallets with a fresh machine to avoid virus etc. Better be safe than sorry.

Use small quantities for daily needs

In real life you do not carry all your money in your pocket every day. Similar to real funds, you should split up your Bitcoins and save a small amount needed to cover your daily expenses in your mobile or online wallet. Channeling funds between multiple deposits makes it impossible to steal all your funds at any one time.

Backup your wallet

Backup wallet is very important. Keeping backups of the Bitcoin wallet in a safe place helps to restore it in the event of a computer failure or some human error. It can also help you to restore your wallet if your phone is stolen. Of course in that case it is properly encrypted. If you decide to back up your wallet, you should consider some suggestions.

All wallets have risk.
I think cold storage is a better option - offline hardware or paper wallet

I too spread my bitcoins in many wallets. On different types of wallet. Online, on mobile and on hardware wallets. I feel safer on this. I use the online wallet for fast conversion of funds and hardware wallets for savings.

I think you will earn lot of money. But it's completely don't secure unless your don't enough knowledge of Bitcoin transactions. So you always be careful.

I store bitcoin and altcoin that I have on hardware wallet, Ledger Nano. The price is a bit expensive, but I think why not if it's for a more security.

If you are going to keep your bitcoins for long term and if you want to be safe then don't scatter your bitcoin into different wallets unless it is a hardware wallet because hardware wallet is the best option for storing bitcoin since it is safe and it is an offline wallet that you can use in order to keep your bitcoins and have your wallet physically.

I store it in Ledger wallet. Hardware wallets are probably the most robust form of security you can have for your Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency. The way the hardware wallets achieve maximum security is by storing your private key and signing your Bitcoin transactions offline

Online wallets like block chain or coinbase are safe only but still hackers are scamming in online wallets. Better you would go ahead with offline wallets, paper or cold storage to keep it safe. That is the thing i know online wallets can be unsafe but i have had a small amount in blockchain.info since i started here. I say small but we are talking a couple of btc. If you have just a small amount then as you say they are safe enough. When you get to 5 and above btc that is when send to cold storage just to be sure. If you have good security and dont surf and download from dodgy sites all will be ok. I only leave on exchanges what i could lose, they could run at anytime..

There are many kinds of wallets that may be suitable for different needs. For storing larger amounts of coins, Cold Storage (i.e. Paper or Hardware wallets) are recommended. Small values can be more conveniently stored on Hot Wallets (i.e. Desktop, Mobile and Web wallets).

If you want to store bitcoins for a long time, you should use a cold storage or offline wallet. This is how bitcoin is preserved in a more secure environment.
