Anyone else noticing page load/package sending times increasing a lot over the past few weeks?  Trying to figure out if its activity on the site or if my ISP is having issues

It's the site's fault, or it's getting DDoS'd, I have had too many problems logging in or making trades before sudden changes in price that I decided to withdraw most of my funds a few weeks ago.

Signature space available for rent.

Well it was the bots previously but if I recall they fixed the API on that and increased the bandwidth
That said it probably needs more capacity to deal with high activity and trading like AM today with Friedcats news

This doesnt seem too stabile

Just tried it ... actually made .003 BTC on a quick set of trades from .4 BTC.   Tried doing it a second time and the site seems to have gone down.    I know the amount is tiny, it was just an experiment.

Error 522 ... website is offline ... oh well.

Came back in about 30 minutes ... seems down again though.  Cheesy

Web site is too unstable ... however I did manage to make .021 off of .4 BTC.   But that trade dried up.

Lag isn't my problem, it is the site goes offline every few minutes.    Well, actually it is timing out ... so maybe that is your lag.  Grrrrrr  Angry   Guess I'm a year too late.

Eh yeah - what causes that?  Server being overloaded by packets? Damn APIs.

Exchange feedback/comments

Fix that API software so that the bots don't crash the server so often

Perhaps include a DRIP option for some funds that pay dividends like btct used to for different funds.

Actually - indexing the book values to current shares would be extremely useful too, as over time, volatility in asset prices across the exchange have made this feature virtually useless for me.

The main problem is that there isn't enough people trading there.   Of coarse the site needs to stay up for people to use it, but just the same the markets are really thin.

The 600 call per minute limit for the API needs to be lowered.  This is enough, honestly.  Enough geniuses on here know how to program in php with the parameters to beat bid/ask by 1 or 10 satoshis that its now made the site completely unusable every time a live user tries to put in an order.

Cut it in half and see where that gets us.

600 calls per minute?!!!!   That is way too high.   It should be lowered to about 60 a minute.    I agree the site is now a pain in the butt to use.

Okay I vote for your 300 per 10 minute limit.  Something needs to be done.

Nope, that's the current limit, and its still causing problems with the site.  Either the server needs upgraded or we'd need to dial down the bots a bit.  The problem is that user-initiated orders set of a chain reaction across the entire orderbook (and if you try trading BDD at all, especially EXCH...it just shits the bed).

Actually the real solution would be to charge a low fee for every order placed, whether it is fulfilled or not or canceled.

Or just for cancellations.  Or after a limit.  Abuser pay, as it were.

Trying to recall think there was an option like that on BTCT or maybe not if so then it would be a nice feature to add to havelock
