Be sure to start bluechist from the commandline with -testnet parameter.

On a separate computer, I started bluechist.exe -testnet and downloaded the blockchain.  Then like Edgar, I closed bluechist, and started the PR windows wallet, which opened fully synched. In other words, if you download the PR blockchain using bluechist.exe -testnet,  the PR windows wallet will be able to find the blockchain.

The PR chain hasn't moved for hours so I can say with 100% certainty that it works. I will rent 1 ths to see if I can move in the next couple of hours.  PR miners wanted at wmikrut.com

ive updated to 10.1.1 but have no peers.

my 'testnet3.conf' file was actually 'prototanium.conf' so i edited that but stil no connections.

the conf file contains all nodes in fallingknifes post... so i going to add them into the console manually too see if that will get the wallet to sync up


edit - now its has 3 connections.

The blockchain broke free from highdiff today and is moving again.

I am connected using the PR wallet now, and able to send coins.

To recap:
I deleted the PR chain in Windows
I started the Unobtanium Bluechist wallet in -testnet mode and synced
I closed Bluechist
I started the PR wallet, and now it is working.

It has to be some kind of checkpoint issue.  I don't know when the next checkpoint is, but I expect the PR wallet will lock when it hits that checkpoint, and then I will have to redo those steps.

i just opened pr wallet and it synced automatically. no foolies.

i then opened uno -testnet on another com and its sitting with 0 connections / no sauce available the past 90 minutos...


e2a - after 90 minutes of nothing happening, i manually added the 6 nodes FK posted above

now synching , very slowly! - will update on completion


E3A - after 5hrs of synching only 6000 blocks i replaced the blocks & chainstate files with already synced pr/testnet3 wallet files.

took about 35 minutes to transfer & rescan - all done!

all coins removed, lets see how long they take to arrive.

arrived at cryptopia before i finished editing!

Syncing the Pr blockchain with the windows wallet from scratch will take to long currently and importing the testnet3 blockchain .zip is necessary.

Both of the Pr windows release builds don't seem to be working properly.

As posted above by @FallingKnife the Unobtanium Bluechist --testnet Pr wallet is working fine.

Single core instances with 768 MB RAM with 2GB swapfile (also running Unobtanium and Unicoin daemons!)

So, if the blockchain is slow to download, this is most probably why. ^^

Checked getpeerinfo for the three main nodes.

After syncing the Pr (Unobtanium testnet) wallet - which appears to only find 3 connections - I re-tested the v0.10.1.12-retrograde windows release, which seems to be functioning OK.

As above, it is probably advisable to install / run Pr from the Unobtanium (testnet3) --testnet folder / location. So, that the UNO --testnet wallet can be used to re-sync if necessary. Then try running the v0.10.1.12-retrograde windows release, for improved connectivity.

Recommended addnodes currently are;

Three are my linux nodes, plus the wmikrut pool node and a node on ovh france - which appears to be stable.

I received the new PR Windows wallet the other day from a dev I met recently. He agreed to work on it for the bounty that myself and Edgar offered earlier.

I had good luck with it and I a couple other people I sent it to say it works.

I suggest installing on a Windows VM at first, just as a normal precaution and best practice in the crypto curency world.
