to start I have heard about bitcoins back in 2010 didn't think much mostly heard they where used on silkroad from a Buddy who mined them. now 5 years later I seei they are a lot more used then anyone could have imagagined.

so mainly why I open this thread is I am always looking to learn new things I don't know about cryptocoins/block chain as I can.

like 1 thing is how fees are done for miners. and maybe if you got any links that explain how things work.

also wonder how this rank system works on bitcointalk and why is it I read you can buy bitcointalk accounts (this is a scammers dream).

well thanks hope for lots replays and to help explain this new hobby I am enjoying.

~~ how fees are done for miners. and maybe if you got any links that explain how things work.

miners get the block reward (currently 25BTC) plus whatever is the total sum of the fees of the transactions in the block that they have mined

every two weeks ranks will be updated. you can get 14 (one for each day). unfortunately selling accounts make scams easier. the only thing you can do is to always use a trusted escrow to lower the risk.

Hi and welcome here.
I have no experience about mining & all that but i can tell you some about ranks in here.
After every 2 weeks you will get 14 activity count for your account, if you have 14 or more than 14 posts at the end of 2nd week, once you reach 30+ activity count your rank will go one step up and from newbie you will become jr. member. This proccess goes on and on and if you are active on the forum so you will get a good rank after a few months. Only if you don't spam and do just constructive posts.

Good luck and welcome again.

Nah man, we don't know what happen to bitcoin in 2020. i don't understand how mining bitcoins works though. better don't invest on really long-term because i think it's to risky.

U r right. We can't have such risks for a profit, who knows what will happen in coming years, we can just predict or just have guesses that it might grow high and high but we can't really know, so don't do long term investments with bitcoin.

That's strange. I checked the link and it works. Are you receiving an error message?

Other cryptocoins are alts, Bitcoin is the best.
Rather than that, blockchain is a ledger that involves all the transactions listed in it that are being done, as it continues the system to move ahead.
About buying accounts here, it is legal here.
