Micon, I believe I have won our bet!

The text that we bet upon:
Quote
BFL will ship out at least 3 ASIC mining devices capable of at least 150MH/s per watt to at least 3 customers (at least 1 device per customer) who post pix & verify hashrate by 12:01am EST 7/1.  No BFL-employee or anyone that has been to BFL labs personally to settle the 3 customers pix & hashrate.  If BFL ships a device that does not meet the power specification, but then does ship out at least 3 ASIC mining devices meeting the above criteria before the deadline, then SgtSpike wins the bet.

grnbrg - reports 4.0 GH/s @ 26 watts = 153 MH/J
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/hardware-discussion/1983-grnbrgs-unboxing-teardown-new-bitforce-5-gh-s-sc-miner.html

Codinginmysleep - reports 5.5 GH/s @ 30 watts = 183 MH/J
http://codinginmysleep.com/bfl-jalapeno-unboxing-and-demo/

Gigavps - reports 5 GH/s @ 30 watts = 1.66 MH/J
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75802.msg1962352#msg1962352

Those are three customers who have posted pictures (or video) to verify hashrate, and as far as I know, none of them are employed by BFL or have been to BFL labs personally.

If you agree, please send me the escrow code.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Good eyes spotting gigavps' report. Since my 200 BTC bet with Micon was on the same terms, I seem to have won too Smiley

In all fairness to Micon, it is unclear whether gigavps measured 30 Watt himself or not. Personally I am totally fine waiting for a few more reports before claiming my 200 BTC from Micon.

To be technical, it was just "who post pix and verify hashrate", not that they needed to verify power usage with pictures.  I think it's pretty clear that BFL has shipped a number of units meeting the requirements of the bet.

I will evaluate the current reports then in all likelihood send the codes for the winning bets.

Still a handful at 350+ we can work on a settlement or leave it and evaluate it at the appropriate date.

I thought they had to be customers?   Greenberg received his because he reposts everything josh says to twitter.   Coding in my sleep is not a customer unit either.
Where are the three customers' posts at?

All three of them are customers as far as I know. I suppose that should be clarified by them though.

If you watch their videos and read their blog posts they made when they received the units it said that Greenberg got his because of this work on the "unofficial" BFL news twitter account (BUT greenberg is also a customer that has an order too and greenberg's unit is not a production unit (see the posts between him and josh explain that only one chip is working and the other is to balance the heat sink and that the unit sent was different from the others)) --  so I leave those complexities for you guys to sort out.
But, coding in my sleep clearly says that the unit he got was for a media purpose (like the one sent to PCmag and Wired) so I do not think he is a customer.  There are tons of video and pictures and very detailed blogs on these.    Same as kano is not a customer receiving his.

Ok, so they're both customers, but the units they received were not the units they ordered.

Will wait for additional people's units to arrive then...

I ordered a Jalapeno but I've been to BFL so I guess that counts me out Smiley
Mine is 32W and 5.4GH/s (rounded down)
ckolivas' is 5.7GH/s

... and of course we've both been mining with them for over a week (since we got them working on the afternoon we got them) on our (better) cgminer Smiley

I had already written the code, but of course needed to test and debug it once we got the hardware

Looks like we have a definite customer who has not been to BFL and received an actual unit they ordered AND verified the hashrate:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89685.msg2266484#msg2266484

1 of 3 customers required to win the bet, then.

Pretty much expected to win the 350's and lose the 150's

very curious... about a month ago I expected a flood of orders shipped / rec'd.  I expected 100's of units reported rec'd by now.

But, it's BFL, so as usual we shall wait a bit longer for the results.

I think they've only shipped a few dozen units, many of them promotional.  Several customers have reported receiving them, but this is the first one who actually took pictures of the power consumption.

SgtSpike, are you serious? Those you've mentioned are proven BFL sockpuppets. Trustworthy members have to report their findings, not paid BFL fanboys!

I don't know why you're attacking him for that post when he later went on to say he'll wait for additional people to confirm their delivery and statistics.

5.5GH at 28.7 watts
3/3!

Micon, I believe this concludes our bet.  Please let me know if you disagree.
