DEVS no one has posted in 120 days. Seriously wtf.

Also there is another motorcycle lift service in Vietnam. Its worth billions now I forgot its name. You shoudl try and focus on that type of service. Just a taxi service. MOTO, and get a WIPO trademark if you want solid footing. There's still a gap in the market, fellas. O jesus. What a shame this is neglected...!

Seriously MOTO wtf? You could also become a listed company on a stock exchange ya dicks! lol

to go "search programs and files"
type in %appdata% search for motocoin dir
copy the .... bootstrap.dat file in there, and restart.
I hope that's clear enough it really should work.
I haven't run my wallet in several months, either. I'm not sure if the nodes in motocoin.conf are still active.
try and add the nodes mentioned in this thread in there.

Actual node list:

addnode=94.176.235.39:13107
addnode=104.223.37.174:13107
addnode=92.222.182.121:13107
addnode=195.154.163.121:13107

I'm not sure if they're still active...
but there is some trade volume so there are def. some active nodes for sure

https://motoco.in/#/

https://motoco.in/windows this last link page explains how to sync it, it also has the bootstrap.dat file to download.
Let me know if you get things working

Hi there. I have got several questions about Motocoin.
1) I tried to press "Play to mine", but nothing happens. No window, no process, nothing. Is it normal? I replaced motogame.exe from original Motocoin wallet instead of bot. It didn't help either. Maybe it requires some special libraries or should I completely re-install my wallet? Replaced motogame.exe seems usable, but it doesn't launch from GUI anyway.
2) Is it possible to mine this currency, anyway? How many coins do you mine a week/a day?
3) Where is it possible to exchange Motocoin? Yobit doesn't allow to create a wallet, and Digitalprice seems dead.

The coin is pretty much dead. The "new developers" seem to be a pump group.
The motogame bot is supposed to launch from the wallet's GUI but it only appears as a new process, not as a GUI window..
You can't really human mine it anymore, and someone seems to have a bot that is much better than the current public bot so there isn't really much hope for mining.
Doesn't seem like there are any legit exchanges for motocoin either. Maybe you could try to do an OTC trade but I don't know who would have motocoins.

Maybe in the future I'll have a crack at trying to create a bot, but right now I only know C. Though C++ doesn't seem that large of a step up.

Motocoin got some love in this article by a major Blockchain Gaming site: https://blog.blockchaingaming.com/terminology/human-mining/

Great article, thanks.

I should also tell you, to try to combat bots, a proof-of-work was added to map generation in a hardfork by HunterMinerCrafter.
This was because bots filter thousands of maps until one with a near straigh line to the coin is found.
With the added proof-of-work measure, it takes more cpu power to generate maps so bots wouldn't be able to filter through so many, however obviously the maps still generate too fast and the bots still win.
Maybe there could be a hard-fork in the future that increases the difficulty of this proof-of-work a bit more.

motoco.in is down.

Does anyone know if nodes are still running? There is a fundamental increase though in many cryptos regardless of price fluctuations .
Key principle is fundamental increase.

Will this coin ever be developed? It could be a great taxi-service for motorcycles. But how would it be managed? I think the dev scrapped it.
But obviously its not an easy coin to mine, due to "Bot no. 1" I mean, who else is even mining? Can compete?

Oh DEVS why oh why won't you try and revive..

theres https://altsbit.com/order?url=moto-btc, so someone has nodes somewhere, but they could be on a fork :/
this coin has had some people try many times over the years, funny thing is the idea is kinda unique too, mining thru mini-game in wallet
Too bad it never took off

I made so much money through this coin. When people were using the first bot I was using it on 2 pcs and raking it in damn. I wish I used more pc's. Then the second bot was made by someone and the forest one no longer worked. Then the coin just died. Before then it was fun to mine it and a very nice coin. Back then it was active. I came here since I saw people posting again here but I see the coin is still dead.

Guys try this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5161235.20

Yeah, this coin used to be so cool. I remember doing human mining myself. Actually even with bots it was still possible.

I actually made a youtube video of me finding a coin even when the bots had almost completely taken over the network. I think I was the only human miner.
Heres the video if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCPHtSjqNI0
I got distracted at the end there lol, but I somehow still got to the coin before the bots could get to theirs.

I find a new PoP mining coin called Ring coin here is the youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kS97RFwbgc&feature=youtu.be

Please check it. Its like Motocoin. Maybe creator of motocoin bot can also create bot for this ring coin so we can harvest it like with the Motocoin?

You need to keep making posts and get your score up. I think there is a thread on here about it. There is a max score you can get per week or something like that though. I guess just look it up, I'm off to bed now sorry. Night.

I'm trying to contact "insider" who posted the motocoin android wallet. However the Android wallet is no longer available on Google Play. There is some small activity on Yobit for motocoin so someone is still mining...

But who is buying? I'm very curious about what's going on and am trying to find the Linux and Windows wallets but motoco.in is down. So sad.

https://motocoin-dev.github.io/motocoin-site/#download

Finally noticed the github is still available! Wallet syncing atm...

Also, from page 15 of this thread, here is the bootstrap.dat  :
https://mega.nz/#!n90QjAxA!8YsAb5BHx1lCM7avzf9WfSWq7qefLBTtgiRMu9DLI5E

In windows if you upload it (bootstrap.dat) to your %appdata% roaming's Motocoin dir, your blockchain will start syncing
if you have a motocoin.conf in same roaming appdata dir of motocoin, here are some nodes to place in motocoin.conf (I'm not sure how to see which ones work but my wallet is syncing...

addnode=94.176.235.39:13107
addnode=104.223.37.174:13107
addnode=92.222.182.121:13107
addnode=195.154.163.121:13107

addnode=89.223.25.234:13107
addnode=93.88.74.40:13107
addnode=138.201.249.19:13107
addnode=91.78.42.22:13107
addnode=95.28.221.245:13107
addnode=176.15.199.186:13107

I wonder what's going on with this coin? Just wanted to dredge it up from the world of sunken treasures...
