Amazon,Visa you guys are crazy Roll Eyes
Yeah, anyone who thinks that a coin prone to pump n dump schemes (*cough*John McAfee*cough*) and more recently network attacks that resulted in hundreds of thousands of coins being fraudulently mined has any chance of partnering with businesses the size of Amazon or Visa isn't really using their common sense Wink

It is not the attack that worries me. Devs are. It looks like that they don't understand what is happening.

Wow. I had read their initial response where they essentially tried to say there was no problem until they claimed to have fixed the problem, but this seems much worse. Looks like the dev team has their head much farther up their asses than I had thought. Also 20 million instamined Shocked

It is just one developer and 100 shills spamming everywhere.  They do it for long and it seems it works for them. So, ....

Those of you who are holding good for you. Anyone who is convincing you to sell is probably some salty idiot who sold at 70 satoshi or less. Verge is evolving and is only gonna attract more to use it. There is a flood of new money coming into crypto everyday and growing fast. Great coins always goes up. Verge is gonna be a huge player soon in the crypto world.

That's one of the good opportunities on xvg as it drops around 300+ satoshi then in this past days it pumps more than 1000+ satoshi again which is a very big profit in this red market. It is easy to spot those big accumulation in these coins before it pumps back. Xvg is a pump and dump and i think is a good hype.

That partnership will be a very good move for VErge I guess and we should see that showing up in Verge's value.
I am concerned about their dev, his work and investment in their development, in their security to be precise.

We need to wait for the start of the upward trend on all major cryptocurrencies.
Look at the daily chart of the main cryptocurrencies. It should show growth at least within a month.
I think it can be 1 of the biggest rocket coins for 2018!

Verge has its target hit in a couple of days as it raises $3.5 million for further development. The funds drive was initiated late last year, aiming to jumpstart a crypto that appeared to be teetering on the edge of an abyss. The team targets to secure funds that will allow them to net the “largest” partnership ever signed by a cryptocurrency. The mysterious partner will be announced sometime later today after the team hit its target of receiving 75 million XVG.

I believe in private coins and I like Verge but I don't like the fact that this coin is strongly attached to one person. Perhaps this coin is not as much decentralized as we want. This is a big drawback imo.

I love the list of partners people keep coming up with... Facebook, Amazon, Mastercard, Wikipedia, Ebay, and now PornHub and PayPal?! Not a single one of these would want their reputation tarnished by partnering with a heavily shilled crypto that just underwent an attack that resulted in millions of XVG being instamined. I know a lot of you want to jump in and say "but they fixed it" and before you do, consider the following:

  • Facebook is already dealing with a lot of people leaving after their most recent data leak. Partnering with a crypto that was very recently shown to be vulnerable would be PR suicide.
  • Amazon would 100% make their own blockchain before partnering with ANY crypto.
  • Mastercard, Ebay, and Paypal all deal with people's "real" money directly. If they were to partner with a cryptocurrency (a concept which the majority of people still don't really understand, remember) that just recently was attacked, many people would lose faith in their security and would no longer trust these companies with their money.
  • I can't even fathom why anyone would think Wikipedia or PornHub would be logical choices. There is no common sense to these speculations.

In all likelihood, this mystery "partner" is probably some advertising agency or another crypto business. Crypto in general is not nearly mainstream enough for any coin other than maybe the top 2-3 coins to be forming partnerships with huge, established corporations.

XVG is really a good coin, I was advised not to buy it, I bought it at the bottom and I'm glad that it grows! I hope that the growth will continue, what do you think are the prospects for a year or two?  Smiley

Feels like an exit pump. I heard about that all mining pools dropped Verge because of the wallet issue.

What do you think about Lithuanian ICOs? What your experiences investing into them? I’m following one ICO (welltrado.io) and it’s in progress. They are selling tokens pretty slowly do you think they can reach a hard cap?

Thank you for your answers!

You should ask this in others topic, this is Speculation & Discussion Verge topic.

XVG always have a sudden rise and a big fall, its really interesting that you can make huge profits if you have enough patience, maybe the big holders like this style, I will pay more attention to this

XVG increased 4x in the past 20 days but i don't find out a good news exception they will announcing partnership on April 17. What is the reason of this pump? Whether whales are manipulating the price of Verge.
Verge has many problems in the past when they were suspected hire John McAfee tweet about Verge on his Twitter in the previous pump.
Anyway, Verge brings a lot of profit for investors recently, hopeful it will continue go up.
