You know, perhaps I underestimated some of the newcomers and investors of some coins. I'd always taken you Verge guys to be just part of the shill machine. But judging from the majority of comments even from holders, I'm actually quite surprised to say that a lot of you actually were disappointed in this massive backfiring of a partnership. Maybe you're not all the sheep XVG devs are taking you to be after all.
P.S. Sold everything except 100 XVG. Who knows?

The situation around VERGE is very incomprehensible to me. But I do not want to risk my money any more, so I decided to sell it out. It seems to me that now it is a reasonable choice for those people who had this coin in portfolio.

Verge takes a not good step in the partnership, of course, this will be detrimental to them, this adds not good reputation on their portfolio, investors will not want to take a high risk speculation for coins that don't have good potential, because when the market having a price correction, coins like this will get fall dip usually.

I believe this coin will keep living even after very long time in development. It is one of the best anon altcoins in the market. My only concern is its' cap. Too high to hold for short term investors. But still I plan to buy this one coin.

Recent news about their partnership simply undermined the price of the coin itself, many were disappointed in such actions and began to sell or transfer to others, resulting in a complete collapse. Now it will be difficult for her to rise from this hole.
The partnership itself is great, but the raised expectations were too high. People almost expected it to be some bank, visa, ebay etc lol People were shocked by the mindgeek endorsin/ usin verge. Which other coin has an actual usefullness ( in the sense of buying something) ? Besides cooperation with tokenpay will make this coin even more relevant and valuable. We will have to see what the next steps will be and how verge will be valued by investors. They made the mistake to hype the deal way too much, this raised the expectations unrealistically. So they were dissapointed  |

I don't see how, at this stage, XVG could find real use on porn sites, unless they work on a global fiat-to-XVG exchange too; else, it is just way too "messy".
I also don't have faith in the ability of the present team, and once successful, who is to say that PornHub or any other sites would continue to make the partnership exclusive with XVG? Hence I had sold off my XVG speculative/day-trading stake just before the announcement.
However, this news of a partnership with a segment of the porn industry can only be good for the whole cryptocurrency as a whole -- yet another example to demonstrate actual adoption of cryptocurrencies.
There are fiat-xvg exchange litebit is one of them which i use btw. 2 secs and you have your verge in your wallet, which you buy with your money lol Just after the announcement the price dropped, went up a bit and dropped again. People were confused and at first many were very negative. The deal itself is a milestone for crypto, but far from perfect of course |

XVG is not really a privacy coin.. It's almost entirely traceable over the blockchain. RingCT would fix this, it's on the roadmap.. |

Coins with transparent ledger cant be privacy coins no matter what people tells you on the internet. Open some verge blockchain explorer and check it for yourself. You can see exactly how many coins is on each wallet and where they come from, just like with Bitcoin. |

You can see exactly how many coins is on each wallet and where they come from, just like with Bitcoin. Verge is a shilling coin. Do you think most people are smart enough to check these? They just want some cheap priced coin with some low marketcap and fake pumping news which will take this to coin to a new price. Lol |

Pornhub was the first step, lots more is coming, if you don't know that, you're stupid. Real investors look for value; being able to pay for your porn with verge proves not only that it works, but also that your privacy is secured. Real investors don't give a fuck what market it's being used in as long as it works. Also, don't forget it's barely 2 years old. Apple shares were priced below 1$ for the first 5 years, after that it went a little bit over 1$, now it's worth close to 200$ a share. Seriously most of you aren't even qualified to invest the nickle you find on the street.
Btw I don't have any verge in my portfolio, I just get frustrated with the massive amount of inbred stupidity on this forum.

I totly agree with you ! And I gonna even add that this partnership is finally a very good news : with a very famous actor, and one of THE FIRST real application of coin in real life (even bitcoin is not so used in real life yet). Personnaly, I don't care if this coin is used to buy food, cars or video sex ! I just want that it is usefull |
