What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020

we can't predict the percentage of people owning bitcoin by 2020, as of now I think .01% of people on earth know about bitcoin, or higher , but the assurance of spreading the bitcoin idea to world has been injected,

I don't think so simply because the Bitcoin's price is increasing highly recently and we noticed more and more people interested about it and even started investing with this crypto currency

It might be increase or become less, because we don't know what happen on the next year, next two years and at 2020. If something big happened, i'm sure it will affect the people who own bitcoin.

I don't think there will be a lot of change in terms of the number of people who own bitcoin, unless there's a conscious effort to spread the word. There will be a minor change, not sure if it is an increase or decrease, which would depend on what are the things that would happen to bitcoin to either attract more people or shy them away.

There will be change and that is certain, we are increasing in terms of users in a daily basis but comes 2020 the speculation that majority of the people will use bitcoins is too unrealistic, we just need to increase slowly but in a consistent manner.

Slow but continuous growth implies that bitcoins is a strong economy, it cannot be easily manipulated and the price is the living evidence now. We should not take about the percentage of the people to use it because as of the moment we cannot determine it yet but one thing is sure, we will be big in the near future.

IMO 40-50 is one of the closest percentage that can happen on 2020 because this coming halving can make a big news by making the bitcoin price higher. If that happens it will catch more people's attention and start getting into bitcoin and year after year it will increase more volume of users and after 2020 will be another big year for bitcoin users because of the next halving which is one of the best year for bitcoin to get a great adoption around the world.

i think less than 1% 4 years is too short for atleast 5-10% of worlds population to have or know about bitcoin
specially when bitcoin doesnt have that much publicity(advertisement on tv etc..).

I dont think only 1%.... Cause now the user percentage is more than 10 and cant we expect any new user daily. Even if one new user login to any website where bitcoin is accepted or simply written about bitcoin then the percentage will go higher and the price of BTC too for sure and if price is high then it will be major concern in the society peoples

sorry for late reply, but the total users of bitcoin as of jan-1-2016 is 100m (http://www.coindesk.com/2016-bitcoin-challenge-100-million-users/) i may be wrong about less than 1% but 10% is still too high,4 years is too short for people to start accepting bitcoin specially if they don't even know that it exist.

That is possible but with low possibility as that is too optimistic which becomes unrealistic already considering that is is just 4 years from not, we are still in the early phase and we have a lot to improve to get the percentage.

2020 is not that far. I think the human race does not change much at the time. I think people are a little more Bitcoins expense of popularization, but only in the developed countries. In third world countries are unlikely to be any progress.

How would fiat dies when it is controlled by the government, we should be making some kind of speculation base on the facts because bitcoin needs to have the support of the government and big businesses to prosper.

That's too ambitious but I like it, however with a short period of time I am skeptical that we can achieve that huge numbers. I prefer a slow but stable growth.

It's possible for bitcoin to gain 30% or more in 2020 because it's still far and we are just in 2016 and there still 4 years for bitcoin to gain more popularity and you should for your calculation that bitcoin is a digital thing and it can only found on internet so it will be easy for us to spread bitcoin to different social media site like facebook which have a lot users and i think majority of the users of facebook will use bitcoin if they just understand the benefits of using it . 4 years is still a lot of time .
