Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. No one will offer services for Bitcoin. Spend Your Bitcoins.
It really isn't, limiting supply by HODLING is actually a good thing for the price but regardless I think doing both is important. Maybe HODL a stash but also have a lot to spend & replenish.

Just because you like 'running on empty' or 'living paycheque to paycheque' doesn't mean Bitcoins aren't meant to be saved/stored. What a terrible concept.
OK, yes I understand your point. They're a currency and in order to keep Bitcoins around you need to actually use them. I think you went a little too far here though.
Bitcoins are actually far more likely to be stored than spent (in my case anyways) for 2 reasons:
1. I'm not paid in BTC so I find it hard to obtain them. 2. I don't have any reason/place to spend them!
I don't think many people are going to spend money just for the sake of spending it unless they're really terrible with money.

No, I don't think so, because storing bitcoins means that people is interested in preserve a valuable thing, and no one want to lose something valuable for him. So that shortage of bitcoin helps to increase its value, in my opinion.

Storing of bitcoi is against Bitcoin, i think this storing is the most wanted of all people about bitcoin, this is why bitcoin is famous in crypto currency, this storing not against bitcoin, i think storing bitcoin is the way to get high the price, so that if you stored bitcoin you are not against it, you helping it to gain more profit others,

An economy is at an equilibrium if the leakages and injections are equal. Storing them contracts the economy, however there isn't much issue with saving them, as long as the BTC are used in the mid run.

@OP then the same thing can be said about fiat money, saving it hurts the economy because it isn't moving and being exchanged for a good or service.
You don't need to spend Bitcoin at all, that isn't part of Bitcoin. More rapid movement means a lower value overall, as more people look to undercut other businesses who are trying to exchange their Bitcoin.
Holding Bitcoin increases the value (albeit artificially) by restricting the supply while having to satisfy a fairly unchanging demand. This means more people are going to pay larger sums for more.
There isn't anything wrong with holding Bitcoin. As long as there are a few transactions per block, it doesn't mean anything.

you can spend bitcoin and still store bitcoin.
buy things with bitcoin that you would otherwise have bought with fiat, if possible, and then buy back the bitcoin on an exchange. You don't lose out on storing bitcoin but you also stimulate the bitcoin economy.

Then storing gold is against gold? Burning "fiat" is against "fiat"? Driving responsibly is against driving? Anyway, I hold 25% of all coins that gets in my hands. And I recommend you holding some too.

And if someone hord i think less supply will make also the bitcoin price high and that we are doing now im holding my bitcoin and waiting for halving event because im hoping i can earn more with that and let see what might happen in future.

While its free and we cant manipulate it. i can say ite better to hold because it can affect the future market as you can see what happening now abd for future halving The price will rise and that you earn big by holding it. Just like what happen to those who buy bitcoin back in past years they are holding it and by the time they sell they became millionaire.

This is simply one of the dumbest threads i've seen here and it hurts my eye when I read this phrase. If Bitcoin is anything, then it has to be "pro-savings". Bitcoin incentives people to save and value their Bitcoins, instead of incentivizing mindless consumerism like fiat does. When need to change people's mind and start valuing their money more, so they will not waste on crap. Bitcoin does this job better than any other currency ever.
Hmm.. you do realize that if everybody saved their Bitcoins, the coin would literally die out right? Bitcoin would become a small inbred community that has absolutely no value to people in the outside world. The only way to reach people in the real world is for Bitcoin to actually have real world uses. So while you're happy to save your BTC, there needs to be someone else out there who's happy to spend his/hers.

i dont think so. is it against the law to hold a local currency. i think no, but in my openion there should be a moderate strategy. if you need to buy some thing or to exchange the bitcoin you should do so. and if you think that you no need to use it you can store it.

AFAIK there's nothing that have said BTCitcoin usage should be in constant circulation in order for it to work therefor storing it it won't harm or go against it. It's like forcing someone to spend their money just so it goes in the market but there's no such thing and people just like using their ordinary wallet, have a tendency to keep some of their earned money for some times, while also spend some of it.
If you mean, it's needed to go in circulation all the time, just for the sake of adoption then still a "NO" since, as long as some believe in it, there isn't a necessity for it to be used all the time.

Yeah, but let's suppose that everyone holds their bitcoins and they all believe in it. They would be hasty in trying to sell the bitcoins, because of their faith in bitcoin, and thus there would be no circulation. The lack of circulation kind of defeats the purpose because you have all this supply but no one to use it, and hence no demand. What's good is a healthy mix of circulation and holders [the selfish ones who profit from the investment].

thats a true fact that storing bitcoins doesnt help the bitcoin economy in any way. but storing of bitcoins is one of the major reasons why people join bitcoin in the first place. some people think of bitcoin as a store of value currency, some what like gold. it doesnt help bitcoin but it does bring a new audience to bitcoin which i think is pretty good.
