Not everyone holds up their coins forever, everyone needs to spend them some day, what for someone would hold the coins? They all hold them only to get profit out of it so if the price goes higher they would surely sell them off.

Short-term, it's good to hold. The supply and avaliability of coins will be lower, increasing the price. But the point of bitcoin is to be transacted, not held. Long-term, it needs to grow to become a transactable item.

Yeah, I also see that it is absolutely less efficient for the future. But it all depends on what will be created by all users, bitcoin if in the future the inventor or creator of the bitcoin appears then I think he'll do an upgrade and do something that can give better contributions to all of us. Im not saying to sell all your bitcoins, just a part of them, im surprised you dont wanna to be rich, soo you still with a lot of bitcoins, or had, looks like you had sold your coins and then bitcoin jumped a lot and you miss the opportunity. Makes no sense for me you be able to get rich with bitcoin and just ignore those because you dont wanna to be rich, or you already are rich.

    I don't agree with this approach. I understand that OP wants to say people must use bitcoin which I agree too. In many topics in this forum many people want only to store bitcoins with only one dream. That bitcoin will costs so much in exchange so will be millionaires in a very short period.

I know that quotation, but in reality we can't deny that money is what we want in able to be alive. But for happiness, that's true that sometimes it is not the money that will give us happiness. Instead just use the stored bitcoins that you have for the things that you need. Even though you don't need to be rich but you need to survive.

its true and this is happen to us and we want to buy something for our life no matter we are spend with online or offline store, withdraw into fiat for first then we buy product or we directly buy product with our bitcoin. we can store our bitcoin and save it in our wallet and its not against bitcoin itself and we spend only small amount from total amount of bitcoin we have so we still keep our bitcoin in our wallet. but if we spend all of our bitcoin then we can make the investment of bitcoin work for us.

i think you got that wrong. the more bitcoin we hold the more we will benefit. so having more bitcoin is good. holding more makes no sense and the value of bitcoin increases with each and every place that accepts bitcoin. if nobody uses these services, then they have to close and this decreases the value of bitcoin.

Holding bitcoin and waiting for the price to go up will kill the bitcoin because people who have bitcoin always think that they can wait a little longer thinking the the price will keep going up but that will actuality cause the demand on the bitcoin goes down and than it will lose its value and thats a waste

Not only that. Many of the online sites which accept Bitcoin are either unreliable or illegal (dark markets for example). In the US/EU, there may be a lot of shops which accept BTC. But in my country, there are very few of them.

It's not bad for the system IMO. It's a form of adoption still, and even if movement is better for the economy, in the end it's adoption that matters most.

I don't think that it is against the spirit of Bitcoin. Hoarding happens with almost all the fiat currencies, and even with certain commodities. Also, there are enough floating coins available in the market for purchases and trade. We are not facing a shortage of coins.

Yes, there is not such rule too in which it is defined that storing of bitcoin is illegal. I think the bitcoin I have in my wallet is my property and I have the right to invest it or save it or even to use it for shopping. But practically we need active participation to improve a system and simply storing bitcoins prevent active participation in my opinion too.

Not really it's against bitcoin because Satoshi had not set any rules and regulations while creating and launching bitcoin so we have full freedom of our money. We can even hold our money or use it for online transactions

People would really not spend their bitcoins since its a money and has a value and people dont like to waste any cent of it. You are right its not really ideal to spend bitcoin on useless things because of this kind of matter. Spending it only when you are in need and on some important things.I admit that theres really an importance to spend bitcoin in able to circulate on its ecosystem in able to grow but most people will surely hold.

That is right. However, if we do no use the bitcoin, the bitcoin is useless. So it is not valuable. The price will not rise.
