When I went through various discussion topic. I found certain users has speculated that, the halving has already begun.
Just because of this only we are experiencing a increase in bitcoin price. So need to get much information regarding
the halving. Whether its ongoing or it has not started yet?

It didn't happen yet , It's going to happen in July (this year , and it's estimated of course) It could be few days more/less .
however I guess we can say that we can see the impact already on the price , people know taht halving is going to happen soon , so they buy to hold  ,and logically when there is more demand , price will be higher .

I do not agree with those people who think that halving affects on the btc price is started.
I expect that  the halving will affect the price at the end of this year as the market will feel the difference in the supply then, not after it happen in July immediately.

Halving effect  begun the first day od bitcoin...

Why talk about in this way?
if you invest in gold mines you know that soon or late the mine will be dry...
it is exactly the same with btc mining and above all you know how the mining will dry...
So it is sure that the halving(s) are already in the price.

From your statement I feel that, this time the price increase will be expected high. Just even in the worse scenarios of market the bitcoin halving effects has been working good in the bitcoins price.

the halving effect that everybody is talking about  is supposed to be big, like another rally but there is no price bubble and this is only price going up normally,

or at least normal with a little accelerated speed. but it is definitely not the bubble caused by halving.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

well, people have been saying that there is still 100% increase possible when the price was around $320-$340 in 2015. since that time we have seen the price significantly to $437 right now. from what price point are you expecting a 100% increase? from todays price point?

Halvening will surely have an effect on the day we have it. For a few weeks after the halvening we are surely gonna see some nice movement, then things will settle down as usual, and after that we'll see the effects of it at the end of year maybe.

Not easy to answer as you already might have found out yourself.
Some say it's already priced in.Others say the effect hasn't even started.
I just can say that I hope the halving will have a positive effect on the price. But how much this could be, who knows.

The halving hasn't happen and I doubt you've read that.
But some (like me) are speculating that halving price has already happen and that the current price already takes the halving into account Wink

For what it's worth. I think I remember the other halving events have been non-events. I think this gets baked in months before it happens.  Huh

Well i think halving is already begun and it will end in july.. The value today is not from halving effect and i think  because we are increasing that's why year by year the value of bitcoin is increasing..

Decided to end it with zer0 profit.

Thanks for a voice of conscience, in the sea of unfounded optimism. Just to due to the fact we have halving, price won't go skyrocketing through the roof as many in this forum are claiming, let alone Wally's ath record. Previous halving events were non-events in Bitcoin. In Litecoin, for the last halving (2015) there was however a solid pump happening 3-4 months before the actual halving took place.

I'm on the same page as you. Halving effect is being overhyped ny people expecting double price because of halving... It is likely to increase, but this will be gradual.

I do expect more price action unrelated to the halving, but related to the consensus that was reached over the block size debate and other positive news. Momentum is going to build for the next break out.

Best to buy your coins while you still can, a lot of good things are on the horizon!

That giant rise in litecoin was not only due to the halving. There was a ponzi scheme running that was perfectly timed with the halving to help build momentum. It is for a reason that the price took a massive dive after the ponzi started failing.

All halving events were overhyped or non existent, in the first case at least you can make some money by trading smart.

there was only another halving 50--->25, and it was not really an halving with great impact, for two reasons

25 coins are still more than enough for good profit, and second because bitcoin was not very well known back then
