Just because there is the luck factor in it does not mean that this is gambling. If it were that way, everything in life could be considered gambling. In gambling there are a number of variables that you can not control. The opposite is true in trading... depending on your efforts you may have greater control of the situation.

At my vision, gambling and trading are not the same, but both have similarities. They have high risks and possible high rewards, the main difference for me is that in trading you can set your own time to get out or wait, and invest based in development and informations. In gambling is almost always a game of luck.
Indeed, and I will support your statement. actually, all aspects of business of business had their own risk involvement. and gambling can never like trading, because trading does not need any luck for you to make profit in the exchange platform.

Trading also needs some luck, even though it's only small luck. Even though your analysis is really good, you still can't predict what will happens with market. When you have bought some altcoins on low price, and suddenly it got huge pumps, you can make big profit and you never expected that.
yeah you are right that trading need a good luck + experience then you can gain a good profit from trading but sometimes i think bitcoin trading is much more profitable and easy.

Trading actually involves a deep  study, before investing your money  or putting your possession into it... So, for those  people who just listen to one or two articles and then  go straight into trading for  that stocks , would  be more like gambling.

It is true. Anyone invest money in trading based on someone's suggestion is like gambling so don't ever invest money based on some tips. Instead, try to find out the news is correct or not before investing. Many people lost money who invested based on some suggestions and start blaming the tip provider.

It is good to listen to tipster so you can get some idea but the final say should always be yours. Get some tips then verify if the idea is feasible or not. Do not just blindly follow tipster because sometimes it is just a plot for them to earn more. In short, do not be lazy especially if you are in  trading.
agreed, listening to some ideas for the tipster was a good one for you to know what trading it is. But you need to be patience and sensitive of the movement of the coins in the market especially for the coins you choose to trade in. Wink

Trading is mostly related on the skills of the traders while even besides that it is sometimes luck which make the traders the richest persons when they invest in any coin or any other asset and the price of it unexpectedly increase much higher.

In trading if skills gets support from the luck then sky will be the limits for your earnings and most successful traders are making money in the same way from trading but you cannot depend only on luck to make profits every time or else then trading will be considered same as gambling.

In general term all traders worldwide knows that trading was a very profitable things. where you can make a money so easily. But needs some work hard and effort before you become a good and expert traders. But trading is not similar into gambling, because in gambling you will face most of the time to lose of money while in doing trade you will  experience most often how to make a bitcoin profit.

It would be easy to make money if you are already an expert trader and yes we do know about that thing for most people. We really need to work hard and learn up new things before we can achieve that moment on being constant profitable on doing trading but if you trade with less knowledge you are just like on making gambling.

I don't think it is very easy to make money with trading because the big whales are just eating the small investment with fake buy/sell walls. I will take it just like gambling for me it is more like that.

Trading will be different only if a trader knows about the trading and going for long term trading.

This is quite lame. As a trader, all you need to do is to get profit so there is no point to go for the long term if you can just short some profit directly. If you are going for the long term then it is more of an investment, period. Gambling is pretty the same, you are going in for profit and there is no point to go for long term either

I think what he means is when you are going to do trading as your long time business, that is why he said "long term", and it is true that Trading is like gambling when you don't know what you are going to do in Trading, because you are just going to waste your money in buying Altcoins if you don't know when is the right time for you to sell them.

Yes correct, I've been trying to keep getting profits with a range of analysis, but it is hard and I thought it was impossible. and finally I conclude that trading equals with gambling that rely on luck to get profit.

assuming that you already in the tail of that particular whale are you still gamble? for sure you already got the edge of getting much bigger profits if you know what to do that's the advantage of trading, you have a lots of things to get your knowledge and learn from the expert while in gambling you really just relying with your luck aside from sports betting.

Trading is similar to gambling where you predict the future trend of the stock and place your trade. If you don't use any leverage when trading, it is usually less risky than gambling and you won't lose all your money if you predict wrongly.

No that is not right we cannot say that gambling is the same as trading but they are two different things like one is for to provide services for exchanging money and the others are for getting entertainment while we get bored in our busy life.

If you know nothing even about trading basics knowledge and force yourself you to kee doing it.
And then i guess you have trade with gambling style , you only expect additional money but do nothing
It is gonna be a different story when you know well how trading things work  , it was not gamble at all.

Trading can never be like gambling. Gambling if you keep going to will lose. Trading if you keep going you will learn and maybe lose but never lose all. With trading you may think you lose but later the price will hike and you win. Gambling there is no second chance. Trading needs skill and patience. Gambling is luck only.

I think gambling and trading, trading requires ability and expertise in understanding the objects that we will trade, but gambling relies heavily with luck.

As said more or less both have small relation in terms of the risk involved though we are lucky. Gambling needs strategy making skills in relation to the event to earn whereas trading needs expertise knowledge on the price movement prediction. On a whole luck decides who needs to earn an who needs to loss.

relatively correct both have risk involvement and its up to the traders/gamblers how managing it, the only thing is with trading there's a lots of aspect that you can consider to choose better project unlike to gambling you will just have to rely with your luck and wait if bets will win.

I do say it is a gamble.
Because anything to do with risk is considered what you are taking part of as gambling.

Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

With fast money as a possibility and a major loss also a possibility, it triggers the gambler in me for sure.

With discipline, huge profit can be made.  Discipline has never been my strong suit.
