Yes, it is very different because trading is not governed majorly by luck or chance.  You can alter the outcome of the trades by researching and reading data and stats.  Unlike gambling that relies purely on chance and luck, trading is more skill and knowledge base even with risk involves, the outcome in trading can be determined.

yes trading is too much different from trading as gambling is more risky as compare to trading, in trading you have always a chance of returning your money you lost but in gambling you have no chance of returning your money.

No, there will not be any chances of returning money from trading losses. Loss is loss for always in trading too. Maybe you are meaning to say we will be able to withdraw some remaining amounts from trading which is also not possible with gambling.

But in gambling if you stop at first loss itself, you will get chances to with the the remaining amounts.

but i think there is a little difference between the two, as both are risky to invest money both in trading and in gambling, i think the only difference is that in trading you always have a chance to recover your position while in gambling you need to invest more if you want to recovery your previous lost.

You have the point with it but I think trading and gambling is just the same when it comes to investment. If you want to earn higher then you are going to invest higher and I guess the only difference of them is the risk you are going to take from both of it. Gambling is much risky rather than trading, because in trading you are the one that will choose the alt coins that you think will give you good profit.

There's a big difference IMO, because in investing you could not be active all the time but in trading especially if you are a trader you need to fill your life with necessary information that would give you an advantage in making the right decision in trading, hence you should be active to be able to do that.

Gambling to me is totally different from trading. In gambling, you are making a choice and the result you have no control. Just like you gambling in table games and randomly buying in stock, the ups and downs you have no control over it. So in this case, trading without any knowledge is just like gambling. However, if you do your research and find out that the stock has an upward trend and the business system has edge competitive, you can say that it is a real deal to trade and your chance of getting more money out of it is hugely increase.

Gambling does not need to be an income generating activity because only few had succeeded doing it, trading is just the way to make good money because we can see that there are method we can read online and we can learn from it.

For some part I do consider it as gambling but its also how you are looking at it of course, I think its almost the same and that its equal to it if I have to be honest.
I think that gambling is something that is based on luck and with trading this is also the fact.

I don't think gambling and trading is the same, even though both of them contain risk to lose money and earn profit, but trading is more like investment, it's like you are putting your money to see the coin whether going to up or not and you can keep the coin until you are satisfied with the price and the you sell it

Yes, both are different but the risk in both methods is same, yes trading without knowledge is called gambling only. Because in gambling we pick randomly so if we have the luck, we will win, like that in trading also if you do without knowledge if you have luck you will win else it's big to lose. So I think trading need more knowledge on market price, if you have, you can do it.Gambling need more luck to win your bet.

yeaaa there is certain knowledge that people must know and learn before start to trading.
while gambling you don't need anything to learn , just stake your money.
both have same risk but doesn't mean it is same , too naive call trading as gambling equally.

They are certainly different but they are the same in the manner if you are going to take a risk. Trading requires skills, knowledge and luck.

While gambling requires skills/timing, experience and majority of it would be luck. We can consider that trading would be as gambling.

Because the risk we can get with it is going to be tough enough.

Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

Yes i do consider trading as gambling but not a gambling game. You will have to risk money here to get profit. Trading will not assure you 100% profit because you can also lose also. The good thing about trading is you will not lose all your investment here if you lose only Some percentage of your investment will be gone, unless you bought a dead coin then it you will lose every money that you use to buy that coin.

then you should never trade in your life.
try to stay away because you will lose a lot of money.

trading is a science and it needs a lot of expereince and a lot of hard work and all of these experience and hard work will end up giving you a very good profit but if you think it is gambling then you should stay away.

Busy buying the dip...

Trading  have some similarities  on gambling  and thats the risk on lossing of money. As  you said   trading  needs a  lot  of experience  and  hard work  in able for it to work  out on long runs because  if you take  it so easily  then  it wont work  out for sure  because trading isnt easy at all.

Trading is very different from gambling, in my opinion. Depending on the level of knowledge and trading strategy, chances may significantly increase.
Thats true, for me trading is not like gambling, indeed both are risky but in trading its not all base in luck because you have to be knowledgeable in trading in order to do the right thing its more on experience and knowledge. unlike in gambling you have to be lucky to be able to win.

Trading does  also need  luck in able to make a succesful trade because  price movements are  too unpredictable too but as you said  trading is  different  from gambling at all in the sense that you could able to learn and make some trading styles that would  able you to make an edge or advantage  to make succesful trades and which this  thing you could  not see  on playing gambling. On doing gambling  it only  fully relies on luck.

Well, if you only make good trades and invest in the right ones. You can do quite well, I have and continue to try to make more.

I think it based on people knowledge how deeply they know, what is the potential of that pick so that it can be better than gambling in long term, in that kind of case trading can't be consider as gambling when it has very good safety for some experienced people.

Yes, Gambling is purely luck and you have no control on it. While Trading requires good experience and good traders never lose. We cant say same about gambling as experience does not count much in gambling.
Yeah with gambling you are not use that you are going to win and luck has to be with you if you want to win but with trading you know that you get something in return.
I do not consider trading the same as gambling but something different.

That luck in trading can be feel by instinct.

Loook how traders especially in altcoin trades feel the possible luck that will happen in a certain. Yes you may know when the time luck will come. It's up tp the trader now how they will take advantage of that because sometimes others are greedy on profits resulting for negative result.

Your instinct should be base on your analyses on the historical data in trading, although not all the time our instinct are right but as long as we have studied it before we make our final decision, we will not regret on making any decision.
