I would assume this is because the Russian currency isn't that strong and Russians want an alternative, a majority of other alternatives currently block Russian users while Bitcoin does not.

Unfortunately a lot of online scams originate from Russians hence why most other alternative money solutions have decided to block them.

Well, speaking English is not a proof on any nationality because people around the world speak it as a second language. so you can not use it as a proof that there are no Russians using bitcoin

Most Russian bitcoiners are probably big players trying to escape Putin's control on their finances so they'll mpst likely not ever go on a forum & speak to anybody. They'll be very discrete, there's a reason rich Russian's live elsewhere.

There are no studies or statistic proving that russians are the number 1 btc users in population. It maybe a speculation or just an opinion. I hope you could provide with us the link of your source so we can check you claim. But anyway your post is a good topic to mingle with. I think the most bitcoin users are from America USA and China. Russian also have many bitcoins user, but the most one is USA, the second is china and the third is Russia, CMIIW.

The users often become more from a country because the people of that country take more interest in bitcoin, if you think or looking that the Russians are more in bitcoin then you should have to tink that The Russians are taking more interest in bitcoin then the fellow of your country, and if you want that your countrymen would have to be mre in bitcoin then invite everyone from theer to bitcoin and spread the news of bitcoin everywhere in your country.

I am from Russia and I can say with confidence that the majority of Russian are not the majority of Bitcoin users. In Russia, not many people know about the existence cryptocurrency, I would even say very, very few people know about them. Here such a mentality, everyone loves an old and tested, and are afraid of the new and unknown. Seniors prefer to bring them pension postman, instead of using cards.

However, if Russian and use Bitcoin, then as additional income, because the country's economy in the ass, impoverished population, and the government gets richer.

I guess a lat of BTC users are Russians because they are in a tightly regulated country and they would like to have some freedom under their communist regime. Or they just are keen profit makers.

I don't know where you got this Info. but according to me the users seems well scattered. mostly I see people from US, India and EU and some of course Russians.

Totally agree. I have many Russian friends and they are all honest people by nature and in their culture.

I think many scammers just pretend to be from Russia just because most people think it is difficult to trace someone from a country so far and less understood.

It's nothing out of the ordinary, as the bitcoin community is really diverse. You should be bothered though if one day you receive an e-mail from a Nigerian prince that wants to give his bitcoins to you - this one is a well known scam.

the usage is really important, I think that in the countries where the governments decide to ban Bitcoin, are the countries that get the most usage, like on China where its not really legal but they have a big interest as you can see by the mining industry. i think the more gov bans or limits Bitcoin the more interest people will have.

I think that is because there are allot of people who has allot of money not just money black money and that is a good thing to invest into bitcoins because they cant go after bitcoins.

I honestly think more Chinese people will invest in the bitcoin and I think why Russians are doing this is simply because of the fact that the economical factor of Russia is not so good at all.
