Hi Jeff, I just entered last week, I see a lot of potential here. I used bitgrail and keep coins there with 2FA etc. Seems legit, I also have the same question. Raiblocks community is bitgrail a good option? Is safe? Deposits/Withdrawals working fine?

it would be better if you mining directly in coinhive, not through the faucet and then convert monero (XMR) which you get to Raiblocks (XRB) lol

btw they said on discord chat, lots of exciting things will happen behind the scenes and they gonna make an announcement in the coming weeks.

Yeah I tried mining directly through coinhive and I got a pretty decent amount on there compared to what I get while mining through raiblockscommunity.net but still the devs are nice enough to create a project like that for the people, even though it doesn't pay that well but still it's a faucet for xrb so that can help spread the word about this project.  Did this came from the official team? Like the official discord chat? Because if it did then that's awesome! I can't wait to read those announcements, I really hope it's a new exchange or the launch of the mobile wallet, I've been looking forward to read about that and I've also been waiting for the weekly newsletter and so far jaycoxx hasn't been updating us on here maybe he got a bigger news for us all, I'll just have to wait and see then. I really hope it will be worth the wait.

No. It is not ICO.
It simply means they as in raiblockscommunity.net devs have to buy XRB before giving it to you.
and again this not really "distributing" but actually "paying/sharing" you mining income from coin-hive
so, from recent happenings I take it the hard/soft fork didn't and won't happen.

mikerow and drizzt decided to create miners site for supporting XRB and make use the original XRB coin & chain
this is actually somewhat good news, we have another usage for XRB and a way to earn XRB
I suggest the original team acknowledges this but with certain clarification and clear lines of separation
Original devs team could call them supporter and/or miner service that uses XRB as payment
and make sure to explain that it is unofficial and will not take any responsibilities

I think you didn't read the post just above you, the official distribution of xrb has ended months ago and the mining through coinhive that people are talking about on here is no way related to this project, it is merely a faucet. @Thirdspace posts explains everything clearly, so you can start by reading that before you go through the recent changes. Don't worry though there's no more non grateful hand miners now, we have finally got rid of that problem, currently there's no more dumpers and the thread is way calmer now, no more people complaining and talking about things that are not helpful towards this project.

**This post is for the XRB fans who badmouth IOTA on Iota forums**

I see a lot of XRB fans bashing IOTA on Iota forums. Don't think badmouthing IOTA would help XRB gain value. In general all DAG cryptos are undervalued. People haven’t realized the potential of DAG technology. 2018 will be huge for XRB IOTA and byteball. Unfortunately XRB is so under the radar because of lack of big exchanges trading. It should change hopefully soon. I could clearly see iota becoming no. 3 crypto in 2018. XRB should easily be > $100MM. I don’t see iota as competition. They are aiming for different goals. But iota’s success could get more eyes look into XRB’s technology.

There is some sort of the correlation between Iota's price and XRB's price. I am active in Iota speculation slack. They call everything shitcoin besides Iota (including Eth.) XRB does have some respect  in Iota slack. Iota fanboys seemed to be curious about XRB and its tech. Some iota folks that I know recently bought XRB a small % of portfolio with Iota profits. Whenever Iota is making big news on reddit or twitter, XRB comes into discussion. People research Raiblocks and identify how gem of crypto XRB is.

What I did not understand yet, what are the incentives to secure the network and to find the consensus when there are no fees? IOTA follows a similar feelss approach. It solved the problem by making each transaction possible only after confirming two other transactions. How is it with Raiblocks?
