The thing that surprised me about XRP is that its value always seemed to go up during times when bitcoin was falling and its slow recovery. It's just a value thats gone up

That thing is right but not at all. As i see the value of ripple goes up and down if there's a high demand of investors and it will dump once there's a lot of token sold. Likely all token would be like that. As I speculated ripple is one alt that has a good value that I can say this alt is very active by seing just in the market chart. Once alt is lively rolling at the market, it has the opportunity to gambles up through future.

Well I hope it won't go down any more as I just bought big bag of XRP. I was looking to rationalise the coins I have and chose to sell some of them and use the funds to add more XRP to my collection.

Altcoins seems to come to the bottom, we can see that the price for btc trading hardly fall now while btc price fall, I think btc price for the fiat will still drop but alicoins will not follow

Some people hate to even mention ripple, but some of us here are strictly looking to make some money. I've heard a million times "don't fall in love with your coins or else you will get burned", but applying that same agnostic view towards ripple it somehow against all of humanity. I have a feeling XRP will be listed on coinbase this year so that would also give a nice pump. When money comes back into this market this year the top 10 are going to really benefit and which of those are on coinbase will even more.

It looks like XRP is a never-ending crypto in discussion topics. In December 2017, the XRP was short-ranged to 3.5usd. That's a huge number. Currently the XRP has greatly reduced the value and only about 0.5usd. I think the current market is just FUD and will grow again. Bitcoin and ETH seem to have a great influence. I hope some exchanges like bittrex, binance will list XRP / altcoin, which will help stabilize the XRP.
