I'm almost certain prices will peak immediately after launch, but drop drastically within 24 hours. This may have a positive side however, as a lot of folks who missed the ICO and are eager to hoard LISK, seize the oppertunity to actually buy it at a reduced price. Though prices beneath ICO-value are unlikely, unless this whole project utterly fails and goes up in flames.
How are you coming to this conclusion? It could be either way - the first 24 hours might see many people looking to sell their LISK and therefore make the price fall instead of going up, but then the price recovers.

As if there will be 3 million buys on release day. The dip is always expected at first day of release. We just don't know how low the dip will be and how long will the price remain low.

Probably some 50 cents to start then later on increase to a dollar. But it could continue until $5 depending on the success of the devs.

impossible, 3M would be equal to 600 bitcoin, you invested 600 bitcoin into lisk? and why you should dump under 20k satoshi, which was the ico price, are you dumb?

FYI China don't like IPO coins. They only love BTC LTC and maybe Doge

So when is this shitcoin launching?  I bought and sold some of the yobit iou's, and it seems like the market has tanked before the actual coin has even launched.

Yeah, tanked. Now it's only 2400% up compared to ICO price. Idiot.

Exactly ... ! A lot of people who invested in the LISK ICO are anxious to sell off their assets asap after launch, lowering the price. Then other folks seize the oppertunity to get (some) Lisk cheap and those who sold off at the very start might get in again with a lower price. Due all of this, price should eventually go up. Its all theory ofcourse but I highly doubt Lisk is being sold into oblivion in a short time and ends up being one of those vague alts worth almost nothing.

we also don't know how many people will be waiting on day one to buy.  If only less than 4000 people bought into the ICO, there could be 10000 people waiting to pick up on poloniex.

nobody knows.

Well...it's certainly tanked volume-wise, but it's still hovering around 0.004. That price has been pretty stable, tho' we've yet to see what'll happen once Liskers get their hands on the real thing & can finally sell.

Despite its artificiality, the ~$1 price is now anchored in folks' minds here. Anchored to the point at which 50 cents is an apparent bargain.

How is the $1 price anchored? Also, if Bitcoin rises in value, it might be that people may lose money on a BTC basis even while maintaining value in USD. Just something else to consider.

How is the $1 price anchored?

Did you click the linkie? "Anchoring" is a psychological phenomenon in which the early data (price in this case) is seen as normal.

The volume tanked because the artificial pump stopped. If you go to yobit and look at the 7 day cahrt, you can still see the grey columns.

Don't think people are more stupid than you. Everybody knows that the Lisk prelaunch market is completely artificial. I'm sure a lot of people/most people bought the yobit IOUs with no intention of holding until launch, but to sell them pre launch for as much profit as possible.
