Probably this'll be like Decred. Half year downtrend then x2 pump on Polo. And not necessarily based on fundamentals or connected to the devs at all.
I can't know for sure but seems like Polo doesn't like alts with huge bounty or giveaways like Decred and Waves had. Maybe that's the reason they are not willing to make several BTC per day on trading fees now.

I can't know for sure but seems like Polo doesn't like alts with huge bounty or giveaways like Decred and Waves had. Maybe that's the reason they are not willing to make several BTC per day on trading fees now.
I don't like bounties either but the more people that participate the smaller the amount should be that each person gets - so one would assume a smaller impact for a larger coin. Edit: But if everyone dumps bounties simultaneously I suppose the impact is the same - that's why I think bounties should be arranged as a percentage on top of your investment - e.g. you get 20% bonus on top of your ICO investment (with a minimum of say 0.5 BTC to qualify)Problem is everything has bounties now and doesn't seem to be going away. I also think Polo have become more cautious after seeing the fine that Bitfinex got. Perhaps they are sensing the eye of authorities moving onto them because they have margin trading too. |

Decred's a really interesting project but it always struck me as lacking a purpose. I think Waves is the opposite in that their goals and the use cases for it have been crystal clear from the start. It's hard to believe that anyone who understands what they intend to build would sell at the current prices. I've no doubt polo will add Waves, but it's understandable them being so cautious about adding something with a new code base given how money goes through there each day. In the mean time we have the maniacs in this thread to keep us entertained.  |
