This goes beyond business administration. We're talking about financing a business and crowd funding in exchange of securities. Pretty much what waves intends to do with their crowdfunding aspects from what I understand.
Why would an investor choose to invest in a project through waves if it is now possible to invest using a standard kickstarter like platform ?

Hence my question ... Competition or oportunity ?
I'm not sure there's a clear cut here.

This would be tangential to crypto ICOs/token sales. I don't think any crypto could enter into the regulated world just yet - that's at least 5 years out. However, if more people are comfortable with the idea of putting a little bit of money in risky startups, then it might be good for the ICO market in general, as more people are willing and able to invest. In any case, I don't see this having a material impact either way.

Yes, I think that's a very reasonable supposition that Waves will make the Top 10 this year. For those hoping for $1 Waves, it would need to become a top 5 coin. That may take some doing. But it's certainly possible.
