Morning Wavesters, Today is the day, withdrawals will be processed.

sasha35625 [10:04 AM]
Final tests! launching mainnet block explorer and proceeding to payouts.

What about these "incorrect accounts" You guys mentioned something about addresses not being correct for some people.

How would anyone know their address is not correct in the lite wallet?

I think people were writing in strings that were not valid Waves addresses, e.g. Phoney Street 12, Scammetown. or something similarly invalid Smiley
Or possible trying to write the Waves address by hand and missing out a character or 2-3-4 etc.

There are formulas to check if the address is valid. I think the protocols are robust enough to identify the incorrect ones. It is possible to make a typo and still have a valid address but most of the time a simple type would be rejected.

The desktop lite client, does it need to be turned on to receive waves? It does not work like usual crypto wallet that have to sync blockchains right?

If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly

No. You can just from time to time run wallet to make several operations, then you can close wallet.

Has anyone ever got their waves on to their wallet yet?
doing it manually might take more than two days considering there are hundreds if not thousands of users joined the ICO.

I cannot talk on behalf of the devs, but generally a blockchain exists on its own and keeps track of the transactions on the chain just like a ledger. If your wallet (any type) is not on it makes no difference as the wallet will interpret the blockchain when you turn it on and "catch up" on the blocks since last time and credit you with coins linked to your public key for those private keys in your wallet. A lite client simply means that the full chain is not stored locally on your computer. There is still a blockchain somewhere but the dev' server side will post the transactions to you while you were sleeping and the chain keeps track of any transactions they make.

Therefore it is not necessary to have a wallet open for you to be credited with coins.

If they typed in their home address just mail them their waves. Doesn't take a genius to figure out this easy solution. Cheesy

Why are the prices so low in the marketplace topic? Only 1.5 times the ico prices. Lisks lowest point was 3x.

Relax man, the fun will start when we hit real exchanges like polo

+remember btc price is already a lot higher than during lisk ico, compare price vs usd instead purely against btc

Anyone willing to give a short summary on where we are now, are they already starting to move ico funds to lite wallet addresses?

imo waves ico was too long and therefore funding is too high. there are not that many left who want to invest compared to lisk hitting exhanges. i think 2x is realistic

The lite wallet has been released in the weekend, now u must set your waves address in your ICO profile page to get them withdrawn to your wallet. Sasha said that they withdrawals will be done this weekend, so I expect my coins in my wallet any time soon.

Is it ok to wait for everything becomes final? I'm not planning to sell my waves anyway.

On the 14th please traders dump for minimal profit and watch whales wallets go untouched. Then in a year or two get angry while the price has increased 10x-50x. Side with the money, don't be a manipulated little fish. Ethereum back in 2014 was exactly the same, and many people shorted when ETH hit exchanges.. Having said this I will be trying to day trade in order to get more Waves - I'm sure many will be, but I highly doubt we will ever see below ICO prices ever again.

I've seen this way too many times.
