Well devs are trying to avoid the IOUs being created by some exchanges . You see, waves officially will be traded on June 14 but if they release the wallet then some would be able to trade their waves via those IOUs exchanges eventually disrupting what can be a smooth pricing.

But they announced the mainnet for today, this makes no sense if they really want to wait for the June 14th.

Well the mainnet as they announce will be  as scheduled , but I think you are indicating about the wallet release. It is the dev prerogative when to release it.

IMHO lots of people are gonna walk away with money on the table. I'm guessing less than 100k sats

Yes. There is actually more intresting icos to invest so people will dump even with 2x profit to cash out

Like what? doesn't seems to be anything i'd invest in decent ammount... just for participation, maybe 1-2 btc no more...

Well, it is. All projects are intresting at the moment more or less in long term. I dont say that waves are not worth investing in or im not intrested in that. but im not expecting fast profit because it can hurr and actually slow steady natural grow is much better than fast pump and dump. For example Eth is still intresting and propably still worth investing into.

there were always alot of coins around. waves is a one time chance. you can easily make more profit as selling at the release date, when there will be a high sell pressure. holding it 2 weeks will make a big difference in your pocket as taking fast profits.

with lisk was the same

Certainly another way to look at ICOs as opportunity to earn. I can appreciate that than messing up the threads by telling WAVES dev is just scamming us all. When in fact, the project can have the potential to be used by bitcointalk users.

Is there a clear and updated roadmap on when it is eventually going to launch? Sasha's blog post suggested that it was scheduled to launch yesterday - yet that post of his has not been updated since yesterday turned into today. Please keep us updated. It's very early in the morning of June 10 where I reside and it's afternoon in Russia.

Yeah if you dump in the 1st week you are 100% crazy and dont care about money LOL

But its each to their own and we have lots of people who are happy to dump and make 10 bux for a few cans of lager.


ICO's are awesome at making a return but you have to stay away from some of them like vox and rise etc as they are too risky. waves is a dead cert so if you dump on 1st day then lol to you   Unless it starts at 10 times the ICO price. Then I will understand that and even I would dump. But it wont be it will be like double max at launch and go like up to x3  - x4.  Wont go up much more than that for a good few months.

What's with all the rush to get main net wallet quickly online it's not like you will be able to trade it on exchanges, better wait and have a product that works 100% than something that is half done and will only hurt WAVES on the long term.
