You dont need any accounts or have to be logged in to download files off of gethub.  but get hub is pretty much required for any exchanges that want to download an official copy of the wallets.  many will not just take random files someone sends them even if its from the developer's emails.   too much to risk.   and also YES i agree drop box SUCKS THE BIG ONE. 

also, the developers DO NOT use any sort of dropbox or mega to upload any files esp not the snapshot of the blockchain. best to only get them from the memtic.ai server directly. if you don't know the person posting links to alternative downloads just to be on the safe side its best to not take files from strangers that can be verified.

agreed, Dropbox definitely IS shitty, but why would MEGA be shitty again?! They are like big-time alt-Tech in today's world -- kindly do your homework, man.

While I do get your point of desiring the nitty-gritty just with the rest of the info, there's no point of bad-mouthing what little is left of services that do not belong to the big-tech mafia. And if they would have used their own NextCloud box for providing the info, I'd sure be okay with that too (even if it means I have to do a click more to view it).

Not much in this post as to whether or not this coin is worth a go either. That's what I would have hoped for doing my due diligence here though.

The problem with this is protean economics of this financial establishment that people call DEX can be very vulnerable to a vampire attack. Anybody can grab the code and create the exact copy. That way they will lure in most users through better touting, better marketing and whatnot wherewith the original DEX will be left out of rack. This is one of the reasons I advocate closed source software.

Hey really guys. What's the story here? KEKDAQ website is down. Is there are chance of it coming back, along with the asset system? Anybody who made assets back in the day and still has their corresponding private keys / seed phrases -- you could be sitting on something valuable.

I've only recently discovered this gem and am paying close attention to its future. It's a very rare chain with unique parameters, so I think it'll have enormous value in the future, both as a collectible and as a payment/social blockchain. Besides Dogecoin, I can only think of Monacoin as another unique meme coin.

However, after participating in the Telegram chat linked above, I've become very concerned that the developers who are now in charge of the GitHub (and supposedly some masternodes) have plans other than advancing this original chain. Most importantly, they don't publicly share their plans in any formal way (i.e., website, GitHub, or anything else). All plans are decided on platforms like Telegram or Twitter Spaces with little effort to formalize the discussion and gain community consensus. I will participate in the upcoming Twitter Space to clarify the roadmap.

It would be interesting to receive feedback from original holders if there are any here.
