There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

When slock.it submit a propose to DAO?

The last I got a reply from Stephen on what the DAO was doing was that the Curator signatories are currently discussing with the community, security experts and ourselves a Proposal Framework to be agreed upon. This framework defines certain properties (a coding format) for Proposals that disburse Ether to Contractor's addresses.  Once this framework is agreed upon, Curators will start adding addresses to the whitelist.

Slock.it. will be whitefish once that is done and we can vote. Check out their Slack for the most up to date info.

Wow, someone really dumped their DAO at below the ICO. Very strange. Why not just look to exchange it back into ETH (which is hold into BTC's rise)Huh
Down 33% as I write but the low was down to 0.00010219 on Poloniex! (That is like half the ICO price!)

Any ideas or news here?

Looks like the DAO was hacked. And trading on both ETH and DAO was halted on Poloniex.

wow, I remember a news article mentioning the risks of the DAO, it's an absolute disgrace that the leaders of the project did not hire some good developers/hackers to assure security, they raised 150 million ffs!

I like to speculate

I think (we) all knew the dangers of ETH due to the more complex nature. It looks like they hacked the Ethereum out of the DAO wallets (or something like that).
I hate to say things like this are to be expected, but there (was) 200,000,000 USD just sitting there saying "Hack me" basically.

It shows you how strong Bitcoin is having lasted all these years but also having very very few changes.

Yep, I guess BTC will shoot up more after this because of all the people fleeing from ETH and DAO.

How can they flee if almost all trading has been suspended?
They are doomed forever.

It seems older and trusted wallets like btc is much safer than new ones, back to the old coins.

Latest - "So far it seams that hackers ETH are locked in that child DAO contract and can't just be sent anywhere else and dumped."

Hopefully that is true and judging by the bounce back, it is.
