Glimmers of hope began to shine on the Red Bull side. If the team can pull itself together a bit more and make its lineup effective, they could be in the championship fight next year. After all, the power output of internal combustion engines will increase next year, which is an advantage for Red Bull.
There's nothing more they need to do after their successful upgrade at the Azerbaijan GP, so RB's focus right now should already be on 2027, where the power unit's energy mix leans more towards ICE, and they don't want to waste more resources just to chase Mercedes, which is already quite strong now. If their efforts are successful, they should be a strong contender for the WDC and WCC titles in 2027.
As for Ferrari, there’s nothing to say they’re treading water. Leclerc failed to capitalize on his advantageous position. He couldn’t keep up with the Hadjar and Verstappen duo throughout the race. Along with Hamilton, they had a mediocre race. It’s disappointing, given all their resources.
The current situation with Ferrari is a bit confusing. They should be able to improve their performance with the ADUO2 upgrade they've done, but the problem is that in the last race they ended up slower and it was harder for them to compete for a podium. I think it's more of an issue with their engine setup not being optimal yet. So let's just see how their performance is at the Sepang Circuit, whether it's better or just the same.
