I will try and reply to you on-topic. (can be hard here sometimes)

I HIGHLY doubt the price is going to reach $100 a coin EVER because..

1) It's launch was scammy / suspicious.
2) It's an IPO and ALL IPO / ICO coins are scammy.
3) IPO coins are NOT decentralized.. and often controlled by 1 entity. (sometimes corporate)
4) ETH is too complicated to explain to people.
5) Supporters keep saying in it's defense, it's not a currency.
6) A "potential" app's platform (as the supporters called it) is not an attractive "currency" for currency users.
7) The APP's "angle" seems like nothing but a gimmick.. one of many out there.
8) The guys that control ETH are the same ones who for sure bought a MILLION dollars worth on launch day.
9) It has been pumped & dumped *recently* as predicted (by me) in between a period of silence since 2014 and now.
0) The claims it's "used" by Microsoft and IBM by supporters is a deceptive LIE. (supported by Poloniex chat box Moderators)

That's just off the top of my head..i bet i could think of more ;)

The supporters have made a bad reputation for the coin and created an air of childish greedyness around it.
It seems the supporters want profit and they don't care about anything else.
This is not the class of people you want attracted to your coin project. (hampers larger global adoption obviously)

If ETH want to reach very high price, there must be instant demand from ETH buyers and ETH market grow. That's mean a lot of sites must start to use ETH as altcoin currency. Currently many sites are using only Doge, and sometime Litecoin.

Definitely this is most likely the thing that is happening right now.

A lot of investors just want to get in on any money-making method they can right now, and I guess the concept of investors running to "the next Bitcoin" is more accurate than I want it to be.

ETH isn't a massive crypto yet, and it doesn't have massive backings such as the programs that they're aiming to use as the forefront of their currency.

ETH is not accepted ANYWHERE by ANYONE for ANYTHING (Ripple and Factom are actually deployed in the real world by banks). this is an entirely closed bubble. the fiat component of the price is minimal. the price rise is a phenomenon of timing as BTC holders kick their heels waiting for the halving to take effect later in the year.
