Will Bitcoin survive world war III?

World War III broke out 6 years, huge disruption to everybody, there was limited nuclear bomb detonation in two smaller nations. Internet is in a state useable but not reliable.
Will Bitcoin survive? Will smuggler use Bitcoin to buy weapon, or gold to buy weapon?

I think bitcoin will more popular when World War III happened, and using bitcoin for payment like buying weapon, bomb or any war things. It's more easy to use bitcoin for payment when world war III happened.

This is good point, no bank can be trusted, but bitcoin can still be trusted.
I also see valid point from some other comments, countries may cut off ties with other nations for the security purpose, you know, make internet unreliable and broken.

Well if technology gets disrupted on a large scale and the earth is barely inhabitable from pollution, disease and famine, I don't think Bitcoin will be much around or worth anything. Let' hope the Human Race is more sensible than to become so stupid as to create another world war.

I doubt that another World war will happen but if were that unfortunate, then since internet is a big part of BTCitcoin, it's usage will surely be limited a lot due to internet filtering, therefor it will be a lot harder to use it but not impossible so yes, it will survive if there will be a world war.

I think, as long as the blockchain is intact it can survive. But that would not be your primary concern if that kind of war broke out. You will be too busy surviving that you will not be thinking of money or bitcoin. Food and shelter will be your priority. And when everything calms down, internet connection and bitcoin can be rebuilt.

But it will take sometime before such will be rebuilt as everyone will rebuild the most important aspects of life first like food and shelter. Internet will be reestablished once people are already secured and stable.

yeah i would be worried more about my life in this scenario than anything else, this type of questio are no.-sense, who would think even once about bitcoin or gold or whatever if they are dropping atomic bonb over your head

If it is a world war, it is not limited to 2 warring countries. World war means group of countries going up against another group of countries. And this kind of war can deliver massive damage to the world and the internet especially if they use weapons of mass destruction like nuclear war heads. You won't be thinking of internet by then, you will be running for your life if that happens.

Bitcoin will be limited by that time since everybody is at war and most miner building will be destroyed by the war and internet will be down in some countries who are in war,US and NATO will be bombarding EU and China.

Precious metals will take over by that time. Diamonds and other precious minerals will also see their value go up significantly due to the insane demand by that time.

Bitcoin will be limited by that time since everybody is at war and most miner building will be destroyed by the war and internet will be down in some countries who are in war,US and NATO will be bombarding EU and China.

those who are against people using bitcoin, may indeed end up bombing the larger mining farms in order to damage bitcoin. look in syria. entire parts of that country are destructed where there aren't any buildings without significant damage. there is still internet and telecommuncation possible. as long as that is possible, bitcoin will stay up and working. maybe not as stable as we are used to, but it will work. especially when mining farms are placed in strategic places.

World war III will mean the end of the world as we know it, and it might not be too far fetched, with the North Koreans testing ballistic missiles and creating islands/bases in the

oceans to get closer for launch. Bitcoin will really be the last thing people would be worried about, in the aftermath of a full out Nuclear war. If you ever played the game

Fallout and/or watched Mad Max, you would have an idea what kind of chaos awaits the survivors.
