I've been noticing the price usually periodically dropping. The price doesn't exactly drop significantly. Just enough to make people stressed and rather worried. I have always been in a position in which the price's increase has indeed always been a reward for people who truly believe in Bitcoin and care for its well being. It can be rather worrisome when you've placed $400 worth of BTC in your wallet for price increases, then the next day you find that you've lost about $50. Sure it's not a huge number but it's a number nonetheless.

What can we do to make it only rise and never fall? I have been meaning to have this question answered.

First, we need to ask the question: Why does the price "FALL" and "RISE"?

Supply>Demand = "FALL"?
Demand>Supply = "RISE"?
Blockchain debate = "FALL"?
Reward halving = "RISE"?
Bitlicense = "FALL"?
Overstock adoption = "RISE"?

There are too many factors involved and I don't think we can make sure the price keep going up...

I think we need to talk to the whales and monitor there movement in such case we can refill whatever they withdraw from the supply, fluctuation is part of it if more people encourage to use bitcoin and more company allowed to use the service I think what you want will happen btc price will keep up up up.

But as soon as you buy, you gotta sell so what next...? I think maybe Bitcoin should have some kind of national buying day to make the price hit 1 billion or something and then that same day, we sell it at the same time via circle.com or something. I think it'd be fun. We can also do fun private rallies.

I actually think there IS a clear cut way to just have the price only grow and never rise. I think maybe we're just gathering way too much thought into this. Sometimes when people over think things, that's when most tasks are extremely difficult to do. Hm..I wanna say my idea was the best idea so far. Not because it's my idea, but because it's definitely the only idea in the thread right now so. I welcome some help here. Can't do this alone. Anytime you guys wanna brainstorm and jump in that'd be welcomed.

Simple, kill everyone who only have bitcoin for profit because they'll sell their bitcoin eventually.
If every bitcoiner use bitcoin as currency (never sell/exchange bitcoin to fiat), they don't need to sell bitcoin & price won't fall.
Oh yeah, this is true. How are we actually gonna "kill" those people though...? Also, how are you gonna find them in the first place?

I don't think there is any one factory based on which bitcoin prices are moving. There are so many technical factors involved. An expert will be in a better place to tell you in details.

But apart from the technical aspect, any market moves based on two factors:
1. Demand - supply chain
2. Sentiment

The demand supply chain says, that the prices will be higher, if the demand increases/remains strong and supply falls and vise versa.

Secondly, being the pioneer of crypto currency, people are emotionally attached with this currency. There are many people who has stopped solo mining bitcoin a long time ago and currently mining other currencies, but they are holding onto their accumulated bitcoin with high hopes. That's the second external force that moves bitcoin market and prices.

this is how any market works, even the oldest markets like Gold or forex or Dollar vs Eur prices change by going up and down. that is the nature of each market that is changing by "supply and demand"

the only difference is the size of the changes, and since bitcoin is a small market in comparison with other markets the changes are bigger.

Wait, I thought holding them made the price drop. Is that true or not true?

You need a predict from the chrystal ball what the tomorrow price will be.

When it's bigger, you buy.
When smaller you sell all coin you have

this way you get infinite rich.

bitcoin's price can be raised by the limited supply and increasing difficulty of mining depending on adoption rates. if it so it won't fall....

Other way around, but then you posted that troll face driving a car powered by magnetic field.

It's definitely that simple, but we also need to go about it in a complicated way unfortunately. I do feel as if it were that simple then we would have honestly done it by now.

We could if we could just get everyone on the same page for once. It's possible but of course it's difficult. Hm. We could utilize social media more often about bitcoin perhaps. Maybe start more websites that promote it.

I think this is a stupid question. all currencies will always go up and down mate. can not just go down alone
even the accusatory nature if there was a definite no go down. any dollar also had a price moves up and down, so it is very irrational and very foolish hope bitcoin prices never go down

Making bitcoin price to rise forever is simply not possible. Bitcoin has got such a technology which often fluctuates.

Any good conspiracy theorist will notice that the up and down movement usually occur in a $50 fluctuation cycle, and this indicates manipulation and mini pump&dump scenario. There has to be someone behind this, and they are making tons of money because of this. A group of whales on different exchanges could manage to manipulate the price in such a narrow margin, and still make a lot of money. I hope this is not true and normal supply and demand are causing this, but it's just too obvious. ^hmmmmm^
