If he bought a lot at the ico and has been selling since then he must have sold many coins in the 3k-1.5k margin. So selling his last ones now a bit below ico is still netting him profit in the bigger picture.

Hey guys, have a few updates about things.

Steam Cards
We’ll be issuing another batch of cards shortly and emailing them out to people. As a reminder, please send us back the exact email we sent you if any of the codes do not work.  Make sure to indicate which of the codes from the email are not working.

Front End / UI
We’re nearing the point where we can start integrating the design into the existing site. Currently, we are working on polishing the design to ensure all the visual features are working as intended (i.e. responsiveness) and are of the highest quality.

Marketing
One avenue of marketing we are looking to pursue in the near future is creating weekly videos to highlight important eSports matches scheduled for the coming week. We will look to select this based on match popularity, however in some cases we will have to make arbitrary decisions as to what match to cover. These will be hype-trailers which also promote GameBet at the start and end of the trailer.

GBT Statement
This is the current statement we have regarding GBT, this will be available on our site once the new UI goes live.

Gamebet Token Ownership & Loyalty Reward Program

Gamebet.GG S.A. offered early users the opportunity to take part in our Gamebet Token sale and loyalty reward program.  Gamebet.GG S.A. was offering a maximum of 10% of profits generated through betting and comission on in game item sales to those who purchased Gamebet Tokens during the 2 week window.

The loyalty reward program allows Gamebet Token owners to register a GBT address within our system to receive a monthly payout directly correlated to Gamebet.GG S.A. profits for that cycle.  Gamebet Token owners may register a GBT address as well as a BTC address (to receive profit share payouts) within the Gamebet.GG S.A. system.  At the end of each cycle a payment will be made to each Gamebet Token owner that has register based on the amount of GBT held in their registered address vs the total supply of GBT held in registered addresses.  Rewards will be paid directly to the registered BTC address if the GBT owner has registered such an address with Gamebet, otherwise they will receive their reward in the form of Gamer Gold which may be used to place bets or may be withdrawn to BTC whenever they wish to do so.

Gamebet.GG S.A. was able to reach the max loyalty reward program payout schedule due to the outstanding participation by our early users.  This means that the loyalty reward payout schedule will work as follows:
 

• The start of the first month will begin once Gamebet begins its advertising/marketing campaign
• Gamebet Tokens in registered addresses will receive 30% profit share initial 6 month period
• Gamebet Tokens in registered addresses will receive 20% profit share second 6 month period
• Gamebet Tokens in registered addresses will receive 10% profit share in the second year and beyond

Please note the on-site wallet counts as a registered address.

I'm not a lawyer so I couldn't possibly know but the description of the GBT is one of a loyalty program. Like I said, I'm no lawyer but what protection is that? It says nothing about rights to ownership that you would find in this situation. No talk or language  of 10% of company sold and the rights limited to that percentage that I would expect if someone wanted to put ownership down in ink?


A loyalty program doesn't strike me as ownership of anything but the right to hold our own dicks?


It even uses past language like 'Gamebet WAS offering a...'


Not sure any of this shows permanent ownership or rights to profits.....just description of potentially a past loyalty scheme? Anyone with a law background should pitch in....

@dannyman I think what you were looking for was more of a legal statement, whereas what was provided above was the overall general statement that will be posted on the new site to inform people and answer basic questions like “What is GBT”, “What are its purposes.” Please refer to the Legal (GBT) section of this post.

Hey guys, here with another update after the conclusion of the groups Friday meeting.

Steam Cards
We will be issuing another batch within the next 24 hours. Please note since it is the weekend once this batch has been issued the next batch issued will be on Monday.

Legal (GBT)
Currently, we have our lawyer investigating this. This has taken far longer than we (prior to legal council estimate) expected for it to take. Our lawyer has cited due to a myriad of complexities and “grey areas” with SEC laws and cases pertaining to Bitcoin, our Steam Item marketplace and having to investigate and actively cooperate with a Costa Rican lawyer there is still much research to be done and have given us the current eta of 2 weeks before he can make a conclusive statement to us on this.

In case we are not able to offer legal security to GBT holders, we are considering alternative avenues of ensuring satisfaction. One idea is a buyback clause ensuring there is always liquidity within the GBT market therefore offering at least a stable minimum value of GBT.  Other ideas include the use of smart contracts regarding using one to automatically pay GBT holders. We feel it is necessary for us to do whatever we can on our part to look into solutions while we wait on a conclusive response from our lawyer. Keep in mind, these are only things we are looking into, and not binding commitments from us. Further research is being done into this to push the organization into being more autonomous.
