Hey Philakone let me address a lot of what you've said and it can be summed up into two points really.

BO2, Matches and Ties
Due to the inconsistency in automated data, there are limited things we know about esports matches. This information is available with sports, but for consistencies sake usually isn't shown. Some of these things include live scores, name of league/division/tournament, and tournament/match format. Since it's not consistent in terms of e-sports for us to be able to tell if a match can result in a draw or not, so we urge users to research the matches they're betting on - which we believe is a reasonable expectation. We understand that the information isn't easily available on our own site, and we've mentioned before we intend on changing this and offering statistics as the platform continues to grow, but for the time being if you're betting, look into the matches you're betting on. Pending Matches, Streams
There was a time frame recently where the background service encountered an error. Typically, when this occurs I receive a notification, inspect the error to make sure it's nothing serious and resume the service and check regularly on it every 3-4 hours. This is also the service that updates the streams, so since it was unavailable it makes sense that there were no streams were up in the last few hours. We apologize for this, and are looking to implementing a better solution that can allow the system to continue to run without the need to constantly manually inspect to ensure all is well.

I'll also reiterate here what was said on Discord in regards to pending matches and how we plan on approaching it for those who weren't there for it,

First you must understand our current system. Currently we use a 12 hour time frame, if the result is can be automatically determined within this time frame, then of course winnings/losings are processed. However, if not, then we look to refund the bets.
There are other scenarios where a refund can occur, which is if the match never happens at all (i.e. in CS:GO match rescheduling can happen pretty often...)

To combat the scenario of "fast information", we're currently looking into a system where if the result cannot be determined automatically within a finite time frame (likely we will lower this from 12 hours to something like 4 or 6) then our staff will be notified of a "pending" or "indeterminate" match. From this, we can then look to manually search for the result of the match and input it into the system.

This would allow us to ensure that bets aren't arbitrarily refunded just because the information wasn't automatically found and thus refunds would only happen in the case of an indeterminate result (i.e. rescheduling).
We're open to listening to alternate solutions that the community can come up with and feedback on this as we would like to implement the best solution possible, so if you have ideas on this please reach out to me privately after the Discord meeting.

I'll be posting back here later in a couple hours once I address some of the issues that have been brought up in the last few days now that we can finally get back to coding.

They're professional, courteous, and extremely patient. It's not fixed yet, but the fact that they're acknowledging me and this issue empowers me and makes me want gamebet.gg to succeed.

I think it's unfair that sometimes the games are best of two and we don't even know that before betting unless you actually find out information on the game and the league before you bet through other sites. For example:

Team Spirit  (58%) vs (17%) Ad Finem   1 - 1  and all other Dream League Games today were best of 2. How are we supposed to know there is a chance to win a draw unless you check for example gosugamers or dota2lounge or csgolounge?

I think you should refund these games because no where does it indicate that it's actually a best of 2 game, which is misleading when betting. The draw option shouldn't be there if the game can't finish in a draw. I think it's pretty bad to know that house took in 100% of the wins there because no one knew the game could've been a draw.

Also, there needs to be a way for the site to update games that are postponed to another day. For example, it says this on gamebet.gg:

but it was rescheduled. It still says April 17th even though the game is now April 20th.

If you guys found a way to get this updated, we'd be able to see the bet on the main page and more people would be able to bet on it. Also, now my money is stuck in "pending" from when the original game was supposed to be, on the 17th. Things can change a lot in 3 days. Maybe one of the teams caught on fire and now have a streak. Maybe something personal happened to the player and game odds are changes. Maybe a sub has to come in. So many variables. If games are postponed, the money bet should be refunded immediately rather than forcing us to keep the same bet and for DAYS in pending.

Gamebet.gg needs to account for this and let people know. I really think a lot of time needs to be invested to fix these issues asap.

It's taking a very long time for payout today on the site. I haven't been paid for a single game yet even though 10+ have finished. I'm finding that as the days go by, a lot of my time is dedicated to double and triple checking other websites to see who won and if the bets will be paid out / updated properly. A ton of games have finished and I don't want to have to deposit more money just because I'm waiting for bet payouts. Would be really nice to get payouts within a reasonable time for most games:

This is a major issue once again and needs to be addressed immediately.

So now before I bet every game, I'm checking other websites to see if a draw is possible. Then today, 90% of the steams don't work so I have to watch the game elsewhere. Then after the game, it doesn't update and I have to find out stats on the game elsewhere since nothing is updating on gamebet.gg and hasn't for hours now.

I know you guys are working hard on these issues, but there are immediate problems that make betting discouraging and doesn't provide peace of mind during this process. In fact it's infuriating most times when betting; having to deal with finding out if it can be a draw, waiting for payout hours after games finish, and cross checking all games. I know that these are kinks and you rely on us to find these mistakes so you can fix them, but I'm honestly starting to hate the fact that we're all being affect so negatively here. Actually only the people who are discovering these issues are being affected. 99% of the people who bet have no idea there are issues and assume that they're bets are going through fine, but they're not at all!

I'm starting to get incredibly paranoid during this betting process. I'm having doubts about if the games are accurate, if the right teams are even playing, if it can end in a draw, if i'm going to be paid out correctly, if the right statistic is gathered for the game.. etc.

I'm sorry to say but when betting there, I'm starting to lose all peace of mind for very valid reasons. The concept of the website is great, but how it works is fundamentally flawed, making the site extremely unreliable right now.

Notice I have 0.00 in my account and that the next game starts at 5pm? Also these two games you see that are "live" have been "live" for 12+ hours now. They finished a while ago. There have been 15+ games between morning and now. I've bet on literally every single game today (and every day) all games are still "pending" despite them finishing them hours ago. I'd really like to be paid so I don't have to make more transfers from and to other accounts.

I haven't even talked to you guys about my refund yet either of $12 after discovering these issues. It took me over 4 hours to calculate this number by cross checking every game of mine. This is a combination of games where you guys don't tell us if a draw is possible, if my game was refunded instead of paid out properly, games being postponed and odds for the games change (like the above game I mentioned that's post poned 3 days)etc.. I really don't want to get into the details again of confirming every game. Guys please keep raising these issues with the dev as it needs to be sorted out ASAP. It's not just a problem with me. Everyone is having these problems, you just don't notice it and aren't looking, but I assure you that you're losing money without even know it or your chances of betting and winning are lower due to the fact that not all information is accurate, like which team's playing or if the game can end in a draw. I can't help but feel cheated. It's not like they're issues that aren't affecting us and we can sit as long as we need to to have this fixed. It's in issue that's directly affecting our decision when betting, when we're getting paid, and if we're getting paid properly. If this is a site handling bets and money, this is your first and foremost responsibility to the public and users of that site.

I've raised a lot of issues and understand the process of pointing them out so you guys can work on a fix. But a really important question for now is, what can I do on my end to deal with these issues? They're very frustrating and there's nothing I can do it feels like. The peace of mind is troubling due to wrong payouts, inaccurate information, and it's becoming an arduous process to track and confirm games. These issues are exacerbated upon discovering more issues daily, hence my reason for bringing them up often and posting new issues.

I'm very sorry for airing out dirty laundry here, but I feel it's my responsibility to also ensure everyone's best interest and especially gamebet.gg's since these are very valid issues. Please know I 100% support gamebet.gg still and I think what they're doing is phenomenal. These are just kinks and will be worked out, and they're important to emphasize during this process rather than keep it behind closed doors.

This is not an angry post in the least. This is a post to show some fundamentally flawed issues on the site and I'm happy to be a part of the ongoing fixes to better the website.

I lost because it was best of two and no where does it mention that it the series is best of 2, allowing us to assume we should bet on either team A or B. I'm pretty sure in these cases the house rakes 100% of it because people will either bet on team A or team B. This is absolutely unfair and this needs to be addressed right now. If you bet but dont' watch games, you wouldn't even know. If you bet and didn't check the score, you wouldn't have even known. If you bet on every game a day like me, there's no time to cross check every game of yours. But every time I decide to cross check my games, I'm finding more and more errors and they all relate to you guys taking my money "accidentally." that's the simple truth and what it comes down to.

Despite being a strong supporter of Gamebet.gg, It's not in anyone's best interest to let this slide. You are taking people's money because the system is flawed. I know you have to go through the kinks once again, but let's do it after you're reimbursed people like me please. I understand things like streams not working or games not updating quickly, but in any case where you are literally taking money from us by accident because of the lack of information provided when betting, that is, house taking 100% in best of even matches, is not good to me in any way. I've given you 3-4 hours to address this now. Everyone should be checking all their games too. I want to emphasize again, that you're misleading us on the website in BO2 matches by not saying anything, omitting by choice, and i'm 100% certain that due to this, all BO2 matches that aren't draws are raked 100%. Also the report of one team winning: Team A vs Team B. You bet on Team A and they clearly won and the trophy is clearly next to Team A. But yet you were refunded your bet instead of awarded the winnings. That's absolutely wrong too and we deserve to be reimbursed because it implies favoring house by a large majority. If we had lost, you would've taken our GG. So if we win, then you should pay up too. There should be no double standards and if and only if statements must hold true here, but it doesn't. A little discrete math logic for if and only if statements:

If we win, then Gamebet should pay.
If gamebet wins, we pay up.

But right now, there are cases like

If we win, gamebet refunds our money and does not pay up.
If gamebet wins, we pay up.

That's not the point sir. The point is if it's best of 2 games, they should say that. By omitting that fact where we're betting, it implies that we should assume we should bet on team A or team B. It's impossible to look at a game here, then go to another site to see if it's a best of 2 match for every single game.

I agree that if you're betting on a few games a day only, then great. You have all the time in the world to confirm the matches. I'm not quite sure you're following the magnitude of issues on the site like I am.

It might not have affected you yet, but when you're betting on every game every day, this information is expected to be provided at the place you bet.

I'm not mad in any way at the developers. See it from other people's perspectives. You're not told there could be a draw and a draw option exists for every game. Doesn't it make sense for the service provider to give general information like if the game could actually end in a draw, rather than letting assume team A or B will win?

And if no one brings it up or notices, no one would even know and this would be swept under the rug. Therefore it's my ethical obligation since I'm the one discovering this to see it through. Phil has a valid point like all the other points he made. The site has to cater for its customer and it is a reasonable request to have all the available info on a match at the user's fingertips satisfying the assertions of accuracy, validity, completeness and timeliness as this is what makes one site stand out from the rest. It is possible for a user to view info elsewhere and then come back to take a position. However, that wastes valuable minutes and seconds. These seconds do not matter to casual users, but they make all the difference to professional users. Wasted seconds means inconvenience to users and seconds lost means revenue lost and added up becomes a sizable amount of lost revenue. A site owner must maximize the time a user actively uses a site in order to maximize revenue. I am sure that over time the teething issues will be sorted out by the dev and people like Phil are in effect doing 100% testing and represents a professional user. Phil's requirements are therefore representative of the requirements of a professional user. Make Phil happy and you will make the majority of professional users that the dev is aiming to pull in happy.

These are the points I'm trying to emphasize in terms of reimbursement. Aren't I entitled to that money?

How would you guys feel if you made money by buying a coin low on poloniex, then sold it very high, but poloniex decided to not pay up and simply give you back what you originally invested? That case is no different in any way.

What if you went to the casino to play BlackJack, and every time you lost, dealer takes your chips. But SOMETIMES, just SOMETIMES, when you win, the dealer's like "nahh... we're not paying up. just take your money back and break even."

That wouldn't fly in the real world nor should it fly here. I know you guys are working it out and trying to fix it, but in the meantime, it doesn't prevent this from happening as we speak and people are either losing money or not being paid money. Though there are never cases where it benefits us and you give us money. And that once again, is a double standard.

How is it fair that we're not being paid out for every game we win, but we're paying up for every game we lose? That's a house advantage by a large majority.

So I've pointed out MANY flaws that gives gamebet.gg clearly the huge advantage unethically in terms of profiting. You'll always have my benefit of the doubt, but see it from a gamber's perspective. We feel very very cheated.
