Has anyone had much experience using the Bitcoin Black Card?

I am having a hard time finding information about their fees. A lot of their information seems publicly inaccessible.

Hi,

Can you do review of any cards suitable for ETH users, please?

I've just done my first deposit to uquid and I'm extrmely dissapointed. Sent a test 0.1ETH to my GBP account, various exchanges were showing this as roughly £31-£31, uquid estimate was showing as £30.10 and I thought it's acceptable and proceed. 20 minutes later my uquid account has been debited with less than £25! It's a daylight robbery in my opinion and I'm glad it was only a 0.1ETH.

I'm waiting to see what Monaco will look like, also have tried Wirex card, it's highly reccomended by you but it came out even worse as they do ETH->BTC->GBP and from my 0.1ETH I've received even less. 0.1 ETH was on exchanges worth about 0.0135 BTC, after wirex exchange I got only 0.0105. Suddenly my £30 worth of Ether became £23 and then Wirex obviously still wants to charge me to transfer that into GBP, so finally it would be £22.

Maybe there is no good card on the market yet and best way to spend crypto is to use Kraken and withdraw in EUR to UK bank?

Thanks for all the help!

Hey Weiting, two questions:

1) I was really happy with Wage Can. But then you  really shafted all your Silver Card holders a few months ago - that card cost almost 100 dollars, and when you lost your provider, you did not refund the cost of your cancelled cards, or even offer free transition to new non-Wave Crest card. What are you doing if anything to fix that situation? Any plans to do right by your earlier customers?

2) Wave Crest is the provider of your Universal card? Are they also the provider of your Golden card?

OP  - thanks for your good work. Maybe consider adding in your new write up card provider - Wave Crest, etc?

The new list is a must.
I am somewhat surprised that wirex is the no1 in your list while problems like this seem not to be neither fixed, neither cleared up.
Wirex seems to badly need to invest more in their support (to say it nice) for their services and also spend some more time checking about what the people say on this forum (at least the scam accusations...).

hi
this is the end of european debit prepaid cards  , ive received email from wirex:

Important Note About Card Limits

Hi ,

Due to a change in European Union Regulation 648/2012, known as the 4th Money Laundering Directive, your unverified Wirex account will have the following limits as of 26th June:
Total card balance for all of your cards combined can not exceed 250 (GBP, EUR, or USD) at any time
Cards can not be used to withdraw or pay more than 100 at any one time
To avoid these limits, please verify your account before the cut-off date of June 26th. Verification can take 7-10 days. Please see the verification guidelines here.

Unverified accounts with total card balance over 250 £ / € / $ will have to be suspended until verification is complete.

If your total card balance is below 250 by June 26th, you do not need to verify your account. However, you will need to ensure that your total card balance (for all cards combined) does not exceed 250 at any time to avoid account suspension. If this happens, we will need additional documents to unfreeze the account. We do not want your card usage to be interrupted so please be mindful of this new limit for unverified accounts.

This new regulation applies to all crypto-currency and non-crypto-currency cards provided by all EU companies.

Verification only takes a few minutes. Those guidelines again are available here.

If you have any questions about this update please contact us via the support page.

so 250$ card limits and one card only for one person without verification !

Hey guys.

Be careful with PAYEER!

1. You can not change BTC to any currency in your PAYEER wallet automaticly. The only way, is to use "exchange" service, where you trade with other PAYEER users.

2. Transfer from your PAYEER account to your PAYEER euro card is not working (http://s019.radikal.ru/i626/1706/2c/db1d9759a5a2.png)! The card is useless!

3. Transfer to cards of other banks possible only if the card is issued by Russian bank. ("Status: cancelled. Decline reason: Decline of Bank acquirer. Payout operations on this card declined. Please try to repeat withdrawal to another card.")

4. In the end, i had to transfer my money to Russian cards and lost about 15-20% on fees.

 Angry

If anyone can advise a normal service with EUR card, I would be grateful.

Hi Stephan,

1) I know, I am also our card holders, I know how it feels. And we're sorry.
Our customer service team tried their best to notify you all to act immediately when we receive the info from our card issuer. (In some cases we also tried to call our users)
The reason why we can't offer free transition is that when a user top-ups money into his card, the money then belongs to the card issuers, and we can't just "transfer your money into another card" - which in reality, is the same as we ask other company to transfer "their money" into another card issuer's account.

And we're not a venture-backed company, that's why we can't offer a lot of discount for our previous Silver Card holder. But we made sure that our new card issuer is reliable and made efforts to prevent the same thing happening again.

Again, we're sorry. Hope you can understand.

2) Yes, Wave Crest is our Universe Card provider. But they're not our Golden Card provider. (I couldn't disclose our new card issuer due to the contract)

Have you guys heard about Bancor?

If it's successful, the competition is all over -- Token card will win. They are being backed by bancor, or vice versa. In any case, switching any kind of value into fiat rather cost-effectively, to the point of being usable as a debit card, is quite a feat. IMHO they are kind of winning it right now.

There's a description of Bancor down toward the bottom:

For these new regulations, it is unlikely that we will be able to find another card offering a limit greater than 250 $.
All card publishers work through Visa and MC, and they are subject to this law.
I see new payment processors are coming but I do not think they will have any other options as well.
And the debit card issuers so far do not comment on anything and the cards stop working as much as I read the forum
