I tried to teach someone to learn tbicoin lately and what i'm planing to do is to buy a video tutorial in lynda.con which is "up and running with bitcoin". I wanna teach him to simply earn by joining forum posting at first then gradually helping him to learn altcoin trading. I'm not sure how this will work but i get to download this video tutorial through torrent site Smiley

This is what I am also trying to make. Or some pictures or screenshots that can take the teaching to a higher level. Talk wont do much sometimes. Proofs are needed to strongly make the person get a spark in making him/her a bitcoin user or investor.

I think it should be best to start with the terminology first, if you can write it, do it, but it would be best to do a video of it.No need to give them the list of shops and exchanges that accepts bitcoin, they will learn them as they start to use bitcoin, just give them a couple of those sites
I think people will feel bored if you say about bitcoin terminology and history in depth. tell them that simple only dude
they probably will not be dazed and confused about bitcoin
and people would be more interested if you tell them about the advantages and profit in bitcoin

First I'm going introduce them about faucet. Once faucet been collected , you can convert it into fiat.
Also if you have some talent that never been used on real world , but on this forum for example , many people need your current talent. They can paid you bitcoin.
Ofcourse it become another job street / side job for increase your monthly salary !

Telling someone about bitcoin is not equal of them being optimistic and wanted to try it right away. In fact you shouldn't push people to use bitcoin at all.
It can cause more harm than good for you later, for now bitcoin is no regulated it is not that easy to start buy and use it in certain countries and volatility is problematic.

It's a good idea though, introduce him by faucets first then collecting bitcoins free. especially if someone want find a method how to earn money online. You can introduce them easily.

Give them link to bitcoin wikipedia page

great point in single sentence. really if people want to learn about bitcoin then we don't need to teach them. Internet is full of information and knowledge about bitcoin and crypto currency. just refer them to information links of websites, they will read themselves.

I've found that talking to them about it isn't the best way to help them understand, at least at first.

Get them a wallet like coinomi, show them a doge coin faucet, like "freedogeco .in" and within a few minutes they'll have their first bit of coin on its way to their wallet, which they can then use to send between wallets to get a feel for how it works.

I've led a couple to a casino where they've been able to gamble the doge, so they get a reason to use it too.

Once they're familiar with how it works then you can start talking about the deeper stuff, as it's not such an abstract concept then, it's real, it's tangible and they've used it.

Take them through it, step by step.  I've written a step by step guide (which needs updating, actually) on my site, in case any new comers need a quick & easy way to get involved, but I prefer actually being there with them, as I can answer their questions.

I understand you point, but everything you say can be done with Bitcoin too. If you farm your way through enough faucets you'll be able to collect around 0.0025BTC in rewards every day. That gives them enough Satoshi's to test sending and receiving transactions, etc.

Oh I absolutely agree, but imagine how many hours they'd have to spend hammering faucets to get that much Bitcoin...

Using doge they've got the coins on their phone in under 20 minutes in most cases, with very few clicks of the mouse.

I know that most Bitcoin related faucets require you to reach a certain amount first, before you can withdraw you coins. Is that the same for dogecoin faucets?

This one awards you 10 doge per hour, with a minimum withdrawal limit of 5 doge.  Blatant ref link btw. :-)

Terminology or concepts are not a big issue, when you start using bitcoins. But altogether is always a problem. We need to teach them time to time when they practically facing the requirements. Because, studying about bitcoin will make them boring and which might lead to leaving off bitcoin ecosystem completely.

Ask the person who is very interested to know about bitcoin, to have a glance over the Wikipedia describing about the bitcoin and the reason for its existence. After this learning it could make him understand easily if you brief him.
