How to teach someone about Bitcoin

I got introduced to bitcoin by a friend who's into gambling. He sees it more as a tool for gambling while I see it more as tool for investment. The way I see it, if people sees something in a product, in this case bitcoin, that they can take advantage of or something that could serve a purpose in their daily living, I'm sure more people would adopt bitcoin.

actually that is a good advice but with unreal amount.
best way of teaching others about bitcoin and getting them to use it, is to give them a small amount so they can start with.
exactly like the beginning when they were giving away 5BTC at a time to anybody who wanted just to test the network.
the today's equivalent of that 5BTC is 0.01BTC

Really thats to much if you gave him 1 btc and dont teach him a btc discussion i think he will turn cash out and turn nothing educated about it. The most proper way to teach people is to let them watch youtube it has some information there and after that show him were he can earn and what he will avoid to lose money.

I agree. Dont give that big amount. And also they will be looking to where they could get that amount faster and wont try to work their way up. That is bad strategy. It is like spoiling a kid.

Best way to teach someone about BTC?
Find out where a btc merchant is in your area. Go there and by something with someone you think should know about BTC. And then let them ask you questions.
That's the best way.

But what if there is no merchant around who accepts bitcoin? As I am facing that problem, I don't have a single physical shop where I can buy anything using bitcoin.

Ok then do the same exact thing online! Find an online merchant and buy with bitcoin. It is the same thing! Aren't we using digital cash after all? SO my point is still valid

all over the world there is a lack of offline stores which accept bitcoin and people are using it for their online purpose so you should also have to use it for your online purpose, and now is the time for digital world and everyone is prefering online business and online shopping etc.

Rather than moving directly to introduce bitcoin it is efficient to show different videos that explains it from financial stand-point, regulation stand-point, and technology stand-point. More variety more the better. Videos can serve probably the most accurate layman description.
