I think that the best way to teach someone about anything is to let them have a hands on experience with it. With bitcoin, send them some bitcoin and let them figure out how to send bitcoins themselves.

If you explain every technical aspect... They're going to be bored to death lol.

Yes it might be enough to explain to him about bitcoin and how to get it. After further may have him find that he knew in this forum or maybe if he could ask directly answered.

There is a very good example for understanding:

There is room to which everyone has access. In the room there is outstanding for all surveillance cameras. Every second recording all available online. The room littered with indestructible "piggy bank" made of transparent plastic. Like all normal "piggy banks", they have a hole in a coin. Everyone can see what each of the coins in "piggy banks". No one can make this "piggy bank" out of the room.

Every person has the key to his "piggy bank". Let's say I want to buy your thing and you are ready to sell it. First you tell me which of your "piggy banks". Then I go into the room wearing a mask, which forgot to remove. People around the world can see me on surveillance cameras, but can not see my face.

Then I open the coin box, I pull out the coins and put them in your "piggy bank". I leave the room. Now everyone (who needs it, or do not need to) know that your kitty has coins that have been in my piggy bank. And so with each transaction. Everyone knows the story of any of the coins.

Agreed with you. I think there are many videos available on the youtube about the bitcoins which explains everything about this cryptocurrency. Bitcointalk is the best website to learn everything about the bitcoins, ask them to create a account here and to spend some time to learn the things about bitcoins. All the required information  related to bitcoins is available on this website.

yes i agree with you. you have given such a perfect explanation. i think we can also show him our own progress in bitcoin forum.  we should tell about the profit we are making from a signature campaign.

that's not such a good idea. you are practically saying when you want to introduce bitcoin to someone new you tell them about signature campaigns instead of how bitcoin works, what is a wallet, how to make cold storage , and a lot of other requried thing!!

As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?

I think that you should intoduce that person to bitcoina by simply telling what bitcoin is and hoe miners get it so that person would know it

And also you should tell all the goof things about bitcoins like hoe it is easy to use bitcoins, and how it is easy to buy or sell them

Telling them about miners and earning/creating money is the hard thing. I would first tell them how it works sending and receiving money.
If they understand that, telling about miners is a good idea.
Because for mining need a lot of funds. people is easy to interest what they can get it for free and easy. I sure, a newbie will not be interested if you tell them about miners. just tell with the simple task can give a profit.

Explaining the benefits of BTC will give a good start. Any one will surely be much interested in knowing how to earn the BTC. Keep the person with you when posting threads or replying to the threads. Show him the result of posting quality of posts. Exchange BTC to your currency. Show him the balance credited to your account. Practicals would really stay in minds and attract them towards it. Cheers.

Exactly. Mining isn't even profitable anymore because of the increasing difficulty, the maintenance costs, the utility bills, the noise, etc. Mining alone isn't just as good as it was a few years back. Now, you'd need at the very least $1500 as capital to get a good start as a bitcoin miner, which I believe is too much of a capital for someone who doesn't trust bitcoin so much.

We need to tell them the basic and most important thing that they can earn extra money with it which can be helpful in future at the time of emergencies as everyone wants to earn additional money.

You just need the hold on other's mind by saying that this currency is people's currency, it is a global currency having no government control upon it, and it has fantabulous features attached to it including security, fee, sending smoothly, etc.

People who are tech friendly will surely catch the point and will start using it, but it will be really difficult to convince those people who are not aware about the latest technology.

I think just a little background about online earning will do. I came from a PTC which pays dollars and I dont have a clue about bitcoin. When someone told me about this, I tried it then it hit me. This is better than those PTC, although there are some who pays bitcoin doing PtC also it is still best because of the increasing price.

Even people that used computer everyday doesn't aware of bitcoin, I had one of my buddy list(friend in virtual), he ask me how do I earn and I say it is thru bitcoin. Then he suddenly accused it was scam, I dont like it because it is illegal. I tried to explain that bitcoin is a type of digital currency you can't be scam with a currency then I told him to search about bitcoin and he's enlightened but he don't how to earn with bitcoin and he alledgedly accused again that Im doing scam things to earn bitcoin and I said no. Its true that there are some things that provide illegal jobs to earn bitcoin but there are decent ways too and he said he needs time to make up his mind. I said once that time come, you'll too late because the price might be higher than today.
