I think bitcoin is better than bitcoin. Just an opinion though. If you're gonna travel with a bunch of golds, the security might ask you about them and stuff when you can just use a bitcoin wallet to have bitcoin.
Mate just try to check what you are posting..why are you in so hurry? I will always choose gold to make safe profits in future and keep on playing with bitcoins in short term. |

Oh geez some typo there, thanks for pointing out. But anyway as I was saying, people from the airport or from the pier will check your bags and the security might lock you up for some reasons when they see gold bars in your bag. We all have our opinions though, for me if you're travelling across a country or a city, having gold in your baggage is not a good idea. |

Depends, if it's based on big profit i will prefer bitcoin. Bitcoin has a potential to go high on price in just month. While gold price is slow and steady.
But on investing long term, gold is a way to go.

Right now I think the gold is still better than the bitcoin but most likely this will change one day.
The bitcoin has a good future but not such a good future in my eyes, that it can easily get better than the gold.

Everyone has their own choice to choose their payment method and we should respect that, but in the most cases you can see that there will be more people that will use Bitcoin. And that is because Bitcoin is also getting more acceptable and popular. |

You have a good point, but that can also be a disadvantage. If your private key is compromised, you can lose a great deal of wealth or even if it is not compromised, but you only stored the information on a piece of paper and your house burns down. For these reasons I store my coins in many locations and I have duplicates in more than one deposit box. Gold will melt in a fire, but you will still be able to retrieve it, once the fire was extinguished. At this stage, gold is more recognizable and a thief will know what gold is, but I doubt if the average thief will know what Bitcoin is. |

Yes of course and I do agree with that as well since Gold is slow profit and long term investment plan where as bit coin's speed of increase is faster and i may rise in a short time of months and so do I prefer bitcoins on gold since it is fast profit increment way than Gold. |

i always thought that the only one makes gold better than bitcoin is,gold can used as investement and jewelry,but bitcoin can't,bitcoin has no physical,even it have,casascius cannot use as ring huh..

He just said the fact that if you try to go to another country or something carrying gold, you are going to be in deep trouble. Now if you put a Bitcoin wallet.dat file inside an usb encrypted and hidden, it's impossible to know that you are carrying X amount of money. Gold is shit to carry and transport, Bitcoin wins. Also long term Bitcoin has 10000's times more potential to grow than boring gold. |

If someone want to save his money or I will say wealth for years and want to be fearless about its lose due to the volatility then I will say thay have to buy some gold and have to keep in bank while if someone want to store for a little period and want to earn faster with their investment then bitcoin is better.

well so what? you can make a ring out of some kind of useless metal and if you want to be worth something you can engrave a private key with bitcoins of it if you want to wear it that much to be honest i think that bitcoin is definitely way much better than just ordinary gold as you cannot use gold for daily transactions and you need to keep it somewhere really safe |

I've thought about this very often, and there are pros and cons to each: - Gold is used in electronics and in jewelry so it has some kind of "innate" value because of that - BTC is easier to buy/sell/trade/hold which gives it more "liquidity" value Overall I think BTC is more convenient, which is why I'm on this forum  |

When it comes between bitcoin and gold, I am likely to choose bitcoin, but sometimes I get confused over the both of them. I am sure I like bitcoin very much, but I also like gold. Maybe I will choose the both of them for now but bitcoin will occupy more percentage for sure. |
